About me
Hey y'all! Take a seat and buckle in for the story of a lifetime! I go by Daniel, and I am a professional GM. I am excited to meet you, and hopefully I'll get to craft a jaw-dropping story for you as a collaborator at one of my tables. I have been telling stories through TTRPGs for about 10 years, and almost all of that has been behind a screen as a GM. I started playing at the tail end of college and quickly developed a passion for the types of storytelling involved. I fell in love with the themes, systems, and stories of TTRPGs, honed my craft, and have never looked back. Over the last two years, I have ventured into the world of being a professional GM. My craft has excelled, and I've been able to support my lovely family while becoming an expert in emergent storytelling, improvisation, and crafting challenges that raise stories to new and incredible levels. I’ve been married for several years to my beautiful wife, and together we have two young girls who fill our lives with joy and vibrance. I'm extremely lucky to be doing this, and I aim in all that I do, and especially in this powerful form of storytelling, to bring the same vibrance and joy. I am an awesome and safe choice for new players. I am ready to walk you into this world of stories and introduce you to something I love. For veterans, I am ready to challenge your expectations and build something that feels new and fresh and just right for you. I am excited to get to know you, tell you my stories, hear yours, and tell truly astounding ones together! Take care and good luck on your next adventure!

Homebrew rules
NORMAL RULES - If the group succeeds at their quest, each player receives a share of treasure, even if your character doesn't survive. - Critical hits deal max die damage plus the roll instead of doubling the dice. - Flanking provides a +2 bonus to attack rolls. - Falling to zero hit points also incurs one level of Exhaustion. HARDCORE CHANGES - If the group succeeds at their quest, each player received a share of treasure plus bonus loot, but only if your character survives. - Falling to zero hit points also incurs two levels of exhaustion. - Enemies have improved stat blocks, which means more health, more damage, and more special abilities. HOUSE RULES Delaying: During combat, you can choose to hold your entire turn, rather than just an action. You do so at the beginning of your turn, after any start of turn effects have taken place, at which point you select a new, lower number in the initiative order. This becomes your initiative for the rest of the encounter, and your turn immediately ends. Any start of turn effects that took place before you delayed in this round do not take place again when you take your delayed turn. Emanations: Damage from Emanation spells entering a creature’s space can only be dealt during the caster’s turn. Prone: Standing up from Prone triggers Opportunity Attacks. Spell Scrolls: Anyone can attempt to read a spell scroll by making an Arcana check with DC 10 + 2x the level of the spell. Whether you succeed or fail, the scroll is consumed. 9th Level Spells: 9th level spells cannot be learned except by Deathwish5e cards that grant access to them. Spells Errata: The following spells have been modified to better suit Deathwish5e gameplay. Wish: Wish can only be used to duplicate a spell of level 8 or lower. Its other effects are not available, but may be found through cards and other means. Class Changes: Ranger: The following Ranger spell has been modified to enhance Ranger’s viability and effectiveness. Hunter’s Mark: When cast by a Ranger, this spell does not require Concentration. Mark Efficiency: At 13th level, instead of gaining the Relentless Hunter feature, Rangers gain Mark Efficiency, a feature that allows them to move their Mark from a slain creature to a new target as a Free Action instead of a Bonus Action.
