My name is Rob Stoll from South Mississippi. I am an experienced Dungeon Master with over 35 years of storytelling and adventure crafting under my belt. Passionate about the world of Dungeons & Dragons, I specialize in running immersive campaigns using 5e rules, all set in a unique homebrew world of my own creation. Creating your character
We will have a session 0 where we will build characters in D&D Beyond. You will start at level 2. I have access to a plethora of the books, so there are lots of options on how you will be able to build your characters
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The minimum you need is you, a mic, and your imagination. It is more fun if you are willing to be on a webcam but is not mandatory. Besides that, an account (free or paid) to D&D Beyond, Roll20, and a Discord Account. It is very helpful if you are at least familiar with the rules but we can teach the deeper parts of the rules as we go.
What Rob brings to the table
I use D&D Beyond for character control. Roll20 for maps and Discord for audio and video (I will be on cam, cams are optional for players). We work together to get your tokens set for Roll20. I personally do (horribly) NPC voices and try to maintain them throughout. Although it adds to the fun, character voices are not needed. The minimum you need is you, a mic, and your imagination. I have the overall theme of the campaign set and will give plenty of options to get the characters there, but I let the game flow as the characters make their own choices, individually and / or as a team. I have NEVER had a TPK and only character deaths come from the player wanting it, or making really bad decisions when the choices were obvious on how to survive. I believe this is your game and do not wish to be a buzz kill.
