About the adventure

Formed long ago by an archipelago nation, a colony was created on the ocean floor for reasons unknown. Once established, it was completely cut off from the surface and left to manage itself and try to thrive. Recently, the colony has made contact once again with the surface of the world and now wants to connect and reestablish relations starting with a Sisterhood Festival hosted by the colony. Fun, food, and festivities are promised but the ocean floor holds many things that time has allowed to be forgotten... Free session 0!

About me

Years ago I started GMing a game for friends who missed playing TTRPGs. Since then, even though I improved as a story teller and a GM, one thing remained consistent - keeping heart at the focus of play. There's nothing like sitting around a table, in person or virtually, with people you like and you're all laughing at hijinks or at the edge of your seat invested in the story. That's the vibe I want to try to bring to you every game. Though setting and players may change from game to game, it's about all of us creating stories together. I started with Dungeons & Dragons 5e like many and will always have a place in my heart for it. However, I also have really enjoyed games like DIE RPG and Daggerheart allowing for a more fluid narrative.

What Matt brings to the table

I'll provide: Foundry VTT access Discord Server D&D Beyond campaign where I will make sure you have access to any content you need

Homebrew rules

When you level up, if you roll a 1 for HP, reroll your die (do this until you don't get a 1). When the attack is a critical hit, use 2 dice for damage, but use the maximum amount for one of them and roll the second. When rolling death saves, DM the number to Matt, and keep the amount of successes/fails secret from the party.

How Matt creates a safe table

I'll have an Anonymous Lines & Veils document for players that we'll go over in session 0 and have filled out before session 1. I utilize anonymous X cards within Foundry that show on the screen immediately for every player. You can expect 1-2 breaks each session with plenty of time to stretch, walk around, decompress, grab snacks, use restroom, etc. We end things on a positive note with Stars & Wishes each session!
