About the adventure
A warehouse full of undocumented migrants, all of them pregnant women. Two unrelated crime reports where the DNA evidence is contaminated, but in exactly the same way. A team of archaeologists found murdered and partially eaten. A Special Operations aquatic training exercise goes fatally wrong. Each on its own might be confusing and intriguing, but when a web of evidence begins to connect these events, the agents are sent to uncover the truth and make sure the threat is contained - at any cost. Meanwhile, other interested parties rush to take advantage of the situation. Can the Delta Green agents do what needs to be done and live to fight another day? This is a homebrew Delta Green Campaign set in the present day, with characters from potentially anywhere in the world. While there is an overarching mystery to investigate, exactly how that will happen depends on the characters and what roles they have. Expect lots of player agency to decide the course of the investigation. This game will pull no punches and will feature Rated-18 levels of horror.

About me
Hi! I'm Chris from the UK. I am an educator who loves TTRPGs and see them as a good way to develop all sorts of skills in young (and not so young) people. Problem solving, understanding probabilities, developing empathy, learning to improvise, overcoming social anxiety and all sorts of other abilities come into play in every game - and you get to learn and develop them while having fun and telling great stories together. I started off back in the day (early 90s) with games like Paranoia, Call of Cthulhu and Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, but since my kids have been old enough, Dungeons and Dragons has become my main jam. I've G and DMed many sessions both online and around a table and my main obsession is that every character has their own story to tell as well as the plot of whatever game we're playing, whether it's a one shot or an extended campaign. I love playing published material with all the shiny resources available (I use Roll20, DNDBeyond and Syrinscape a lot) but I'm also very happy homebrewing, worldbuilding and running original scenarios and campaigns.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen in the first sessions - it's one of the best parts of Delta Green! We'll make Agents in the usual way, with each player able to choose whether to roll or share 72 points.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need accounts on Discord and Roll20. Here are the links you'll need: https://discord.gg/4ysKDcb9X https://app.roll20.net/join/21113172/lKBFcw If you are new to Delta Green, the free starter rules is well worth a look: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/175760/delta-green-need-to-know-free-starter-rulebook
What Chris brings to the table
I will provide everything you want from a Delta Green mystery: suspense, paranoia, horror, shocking reveals and sanity-blasting shenanigans. I want you to be sweaty and confused as much as possible so you can identify with your characters! I love characterising NPCs to make the memorable, so expect voices and accents. I like to work in character backstories and the Bonds mechanic of DG will make this really meaningful in our game. I use syrinscape to provide ambience and music.
Homebrew rules
The main thing is reskinning some of the Federal Agencies and associated jobs to more international ones, eg (for the UK): FBI -> National Crime Agency CIA ->Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) FBI Counter Intelligence -> Security Service (MI5) NSA -> GCHQ I also see Delta Green as a roll high or bust game - you want the highest roll equal to or under your skill to do the best, which makes opposed rolls, where the highest success wins, the default mode of the game.

How Chris creates a safe table
Each player will complete a Monte Cook consent checklist before the first game session. There will also be a Session Zero where we will discuss triggers and the Open Door policy. I check in with any players who get upset via discord after the session.
