About the adventure
Do you love Ludo? Have you been to HalLudoween, or maybe dream of the day you will one day go? Or maybe you are one of the rare fans I meet in the wild who don't know about HalLudoween, but still love the band. Either way, you love the band, Ludo, known for their hit songs, 'You're Awful, I Love You', 'Hum Along', 'Lake Pontchartrain'...and frankly in this rabid fan base, I could list every single song - the point is, those are the big ones, just to be sure we are talking about the same awesome band from St Louis - Ludo. If you love Ludo, D&D, and want to play in a chaotic verse, saving the day from the Bad Vibes created by Go Getter Greg - then you found the right campaign. This is a homebrewed world made by fans, for fans, and it is a great way to get that Ludo chaotic fun in all year. The campaign takes you from dock near the border of Spain and France, where Roxy, your enigmatic guide, helps you cross the ocean, (one of the seven seas, in fact, complete with squids, killer witches and pirates), to land in New Orleans, at Jose O'Flannagans, a Ludo version of the Yawning Portal. This homebrewed world not only uses the entire discography of Ludo to make a world, it utilizes other bands and characters in the Ludo verse, including Clownvis, Tidal Volume, Tommy and the High Pilots, and so much more. With Ludo specific spells, creatures, magic items, and even Cantrips for EVERY player - this campaign is a great way to enjoy Ludo year round - and even play at HalLudoween if you attend. Feel free to message me any questions you have - this is a homebrewed world and if you have a homebrewed character idea, let's make it work, and play some freaking D&D! Did you read to the bottom of the game description? You did? Wow! You already would make an amazing player. Even if you haven't played D&D before - if you love Ludo, you will love this game, so let's play!

About me
Hello! I love D&D (and other assorted TTRPGs) enough to not mind being a forever GM. I believe in the simple fact that this is a game, and we are meant to have fun - my first goal is always ensuring we are all having fun. In the last couple of years I have realized TTRPGs are more fun when I run the games I enjoy, and now, I am glad to say I am open for GMing for strangers (who will soon become friends!) on the internet who enjoy similar game play style and games. For game play style - I believe in collaborative, enjoyable storytelling with compatible personalities. "Rule of Cool" with roleplay and whimsy is my style. I'm autistic, if I don't know a rule, I DO know how to look it up, or get clarification on it, but I also know how to have fun and wing it in a way that makes us all have fun. I am not a great DM for RAW lawyer Murder-Hobos, nor do I pretend to be - but if cozy, whimsical, fun and sometimes chaotic gameplay sounds fun? Then let's play some freaking TTRPGs! Games are played in Discord and Owlbear Rodeo with custom maps and tokens made from character art.

Creating your character
We will do a Point Buy Standard Array system - you are welcome to work on character ideas, or shoot me a DM with various ideas you have (Homebrew welcome and encouraged) - we will do our best to balance the group, and finish any rolling prior to session 0. If you need one on one time to get sorted, just let me know! If you have any ideas you want to run by me, or a homebrew element you want to check - message me! I love homebrew, and we will likely make it work! You can also get a pre-rolled character if you just tell me the kind of character you are hoping to play, or the story you are wanting to tell.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a mic, (camera optional but encouraged) Discord and a LOVE of Ludo!! I will provide heads up ahead of time for songs we will focus on if one is heavily featured, however I pepper the entire world with references from the discography and lore of Ludo and the fan group the Skeletons on Parade - so you may have a more enjoyable time if you have Ludo fresh on the mind before sessions. You do NOT need to attend HalLudoWeen, but we DO have a session in person if everyone is able, or at very least, mini games that can be played AT the event(s) - since my current group will likely have at least one more HalLudoween in this campaign, meeting once a month, it is safe to assume we would too.
What Abbi-Gm brings to the table
An immersive world built from the iconic STL band Ludo. In person sessions include consumable props and spell scrolls, and minis for use on the Delmar Map. (And I let players keep their minis!) Online play includes custom campaign rooms on Owlbear Rodeo and Discord channels - Play by Post between sessions is also available if all players want it. This homebrew world lives and breathes with Rule of Cool, and roleplay is heavily encouraged. There is some combat, of course, but most encounters can be solved with roleplay OR combat. I am available before and after sessions, provide ample safety tools, and will homebrew a lot to make sure things are fun. If you want to play D&D and capture some Ludo magic, this is THE game for you. There is little on this planet I love more than Ludo or D&D, so when I do both together, you get a passionate GM ready to take you all through time, across Lake Pontchartain, out to the Stars in Texas, deep In Space...You even get to meet Mike Landlot, and meet lots of fun Ludo world inspired NPCs. Spells, gear, magic items, NPCs, baddies...All Ludo inspired with love for the band and game - so let's come down to Lake Pontchartrain and play some freaking D&D.
Homebrew rules
House Rules: Rule of Cool will prevail – but you need to roleplay it for me to believe it’s cool. When in doubt, we roll it out. Nat 20 on initiative chooses where they go in the order, after all rolls are revealed. Drinking a potion is a bonus action

How Abbi-Gm creates a safe table
Prior to game play, there will be a consent checklist sent following the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist, to establish Lines and Veils for safety – I think having the privacy to state your boundaries without others works well. During game, you can DM me X,N, and O (or say out loud, if you are so inclined) during gameplay. It’s okay to have those boundaries we discussed ahead of time change. Should you wish to have a conversation more in line with the Luxton Technique, take charge and discuss, we can also do that. We will then have a session zero where any boundaries are policies are set, we go over any character questions, and just make sure we are all on the same page before we actually play. Prior to any session, you will often find me in Discord, so if before a session, you would like to discuss anything feel free. I am available after each session in Discord to debrief, discuss, and check in about the game – I know this isn’t for everyone, but I will be available for at least thirty minutes or so after a session. I like to use this time to chat and achieve other safety objectives, like Stars and Wishes, aftercare/bleed check ins, etc. I find this approach allows us to observe a myriad of safety tools to ensure players are safe. Should you have any questions or requests for safety tools, please do not hesitate to let me know. I also follow the Open Door policy regarding playing – you can always step away for your own safety or well-being, no questions asked, without any judgement.
