About the adventure

Shark Tank of Doom: The Dirt Farm Investment Summit Mud Hollow is a struggling farming town where the soil grows more rocks than crops and the locals are running out of hope. When rumors spread that a group of incredibly wealthy goblin investors are visiting nearby looking for “bold new business opportunities,” the town jumps at the chance. Surely a little venture capital could save the farms… right? Unfortunately, these goblins aren’t interested in helping anyone—they’re bored tycoons looking for entertainment, and desperate villagers pitching ridiculous business ideas is their favorite pastime. The players take on the role of local heroes, ambitious entrepreneurs, or wandering adventurers who find themselves drawn into the town’s chaotic investment summit. You’ll need to pitch creative ideas, impress (or outwit) the goblin investors, and survive their twisted sense of humor. But when the goblins demand collateral from the long-abandoned furniture store at the edge of town, things quickly escalate from awkward business presentations to a dangerous expedition into Bargle’s Discount Furniture & Possibly Cursed Mattresses… a store where the furniture might literally try to eat you. This one-shot adventure blends silly roleplay, creative problem solving, and classic dungeon crawling. Expect bizarre NPCs, ridiculous business pitches, animated furniture, and a final showdown that could be solved with clever negotiation, chaotic combat, or bold social maneuvering. The tone is goofy and lighthearted, but the danger is real—especially for brand-new adventurers. This game is designed for teen players and newcomers to Dungeons & Dragons, with an emphasis on fun ideas, teamwork, and memorable moments rather than complex rules. If you enjoy improvising, laughing at absurd situations, and fighting monsters disguised as couches, this is the game for you. The fate of Mud Hollow—and its terrible dirt farms—might just depend on your next big idea. 🎲

What Amezerion brings to the table

What I Provide as Your GM My goal as a Game Master is to create a game that feels alive, immersive, and memorable. I focus heavily on roleplay, storytelling, and character-driven moments, bringing NPCs to life with distinct personalities and voices. Expect goblin investors with ridiculous accents, eccentric villagers with strange ideas, and plenty of opportunities to interact with the world in creative ways. I enjoy improvising and building off player ideas, so the story will often grow naturally from the choices your characters make. I also place a strong emphasis on clear and engaging combat. While the tone of the adventure may be goofy and fun, encounters are still designed to be mechanically interesting and rewarding. I enjoy running combat with solid tactical awareness so that battles feel dynamic without becoming overwhelming—especially for newer players. Enemies will behave like real creatures with motivations, and creative player tactics are always encouraged. Visually, I like to bring the world to life with colorful maps, character art, and visual aids whenever possible. These help players understand the environment and feel more immersed in the setting. I may also use ambient music or sound during exploration, tense moments, or boss fights to help set the mood and enhance the experience. In terms of rules, I generally aim to run the game Rules as Written (RAW) so that players can learn the system and feel confident about how their abilities work. That said, I’m also a big believer in the Rule of Cool (ROC). If a player comes up with a clever, cinematic, or hilarious idea that fits the moment, I’m always happy to bend the rules a bit to let the story shine. Above all, I strive to create a welcoming, collaborative table where players feel comfortable experimenting, roleplaying, and contributing ideas. Whether you’re brand new to D&D or already familiar with the game, my goal is to make sure everyone has fun, gets moments to shine, and leaves the session with a story worth telling.

Safety

How Amezerion creates a safe table

Safety Creating a safe, respectful, and comfortable table is very important to me. My goal is to ensure that every player feels welcome, heard, and able to enjoy the game without stress or discomfort. Even in a silly adventure full of goblin investors and murderous furniture, player wellbeing always comes first. Before the game begins, we will briefly go over expectations in a Session 0. This includes discussing tone, play style, and making sure everyone understands the type of adventure we’re about to run. During this time, I also introduce Lines and Veils. Lines are topics that will not appear in the game at all, while Veils are topics that may exist in the world but will fade to black or remain off-screen. This helps us set clear boundaries so everyone knows what is and isn’t comfortable for the table. During the session itself, players are always welcome to speak up if something feels off. I’m happy to pause the game at any time if someone needs a moment. I also make sure we take breaks during longer sessions, which helps everyone stay comfortable, refreshed, and engaged. After the session, I like to do a quick aftercare check-in with the group. This gives players a chance to talk about what they enjoyed, mention anything that felt uncomfortable, and share feedback about the game. It’s also a nice way to celebrate memorable moments together and wind down after the adventure. Ultimately, the goal is to create a table environment where everyone can have fun, be creative, and feel safe participating in the story. D&D is a collaborative experience, and I want every player to feel respected and supported while we tell ridiculous and exciting stories together. 🎲
