About the adventure
Lost Mine of Phandelver is a classic D&D 5e adventure set on a rugged frontier where quiet roads, struggling settlements, and forgotten places hide danger, mystery, and the promise of treasure. What begins as a simple job soon pulls a band of adventurers into a larger story shaped by buried secrets, hostile forces, and discoveries best left undisturbed. This game is a great fit for players who enjoy a strong mix of roleplay, exploration, combat, and unfolding mystery. Expect a fantasy adventure filled with travel, tense encounters, suspicious rumors, dangerous enemies, and meaningful choices. The tone is adventurous and heroic, with room for both lighthearted moments and real peril. My table is welcoming to both new and experienced players. If you are new to D&D, this is an excellent starting point and I am happy to help teach the game as we play. If you already know 5e, this adventure still offers a timeless and rewarding experience with memorable locations, flexible problem-solving, and plenty of opportunities for character-driven moments. My style is immersive, cinematic, and focused on player choice. I encourage teamwork, roleplay, and creative thinking, while making combat exciting and story-driven. Whether you are here for classic fantasy adventure, rich character moments, or the thrill of stepping into the unknown, this game is built to deliver a fun and engaging journey.

About me
Welcome, traveler! I’m Aaron — your potential ttrpg guide, nightmare wrangler, and architect of fantastical mayhem. I’m currently based in Germany (yes, land of pretzels and punctuality), which makes me a great match for fellow early risers, night owls, or anyone looking for a time-slot-friendly GM outside standard U.S. hours. I specialize in rich, homebrew worlds like my recently created setting, Somnia — a realm of dreams and nightmares, mysterious idols, and beautifully broken characters. My games strike a balance between roleplay-heavy drama, tactical combat, and occasional chaos goblin energy (from the NPCs, obviously). Whether you’re brand new or a 100-session vet, I’ll help you feel right at home — and then promptly throw that home into a realm of arcane mist and moral dilemmas. Come for the story. Stay for the trauma bonding. And snacks. Bring snacks...

What Meyrden brings to the table
As your GM, I aim to provide a game that feels immersive, welcoming, and rewarding for both new and experienced players. You can expect a strong blend of roleplay, exploration, combat, and story, with plenty of opportunities for your character’s choices and personality to matter. I want the table to feel like a shared adventure where everyone has a chance to contribute, shine, and help shape the journey. My style leans cinematic and character-driven. I enjoy bringing the world to life through descriptive narration, distinct NPC personalities, and an adventurous tone that balances mystery, danger, and fun. I do use character voices where I can, though I focus more on giving each NPC a clear personality and presence than on doing elaborate performances. I also like to use ambient music and background tracks when possible to help set the mood without distracting from play. In terms of rules, I generally run close to Rules as Written so that the game feels fair, grounded, and easy to follow, especially for newer players. That said, I absolutely make room for creativity, clever problem-solving, and the Rule of Cool when it adds to the moment and keeps the game exciting. If you have a fun idea, I want to hear it. I reward players who engage with the world, think outside the box, and approach challenges in memorable ways. Combat in my games is meaningful, story-driven, and easy to follow. I enjoy tactical encounters, but I do not run combat as a dry numbers exercise. Fights should feel dangerous, cinematic, and connected to the larger adventure. Outside of combat, I encourage teamwork, roleplay, curiosity, and player agency just as much as mechanical success. Above all, I strive to create a table that is respectful, cooperative, and enjoyable. Whether you are here to learn D&D, tell a great story, meet other players, or chase that classic fantasy adventure feeling, I will work to make sure you feel included and engaged from beginning to end.
Homebrew rules
Self-administered potions are done as a bonus action. I implement bloody crits if the party agrees in session 0. I also like to have death saves done as DM rolls. Or kept between the player and DM when made. This creates a sense of urgency and intensity to make death saves feel more dire.
