About the adventure
Ustalav is a land steeped in fog and fear, where half-remembered superstitions stalk the roads and every crumbling manor hides a secret. Villages vanish overnight, children whisper of ghosts in the fields, and travelers pray their lanterns outlast the mist. Into this haunted country, you’ve been gathered by a mysterious patron - wealthy, well-connected, and far too knowledgeable about the horrors lurking in the dark. He promises coin and purpose if you will root out the terrors that plague the land. But in Ustalav, nothing is ever as it seems. Each beast slain and each haunting dispelled brings you closer to a truth buried in blood and shadow. Will you be saviors, or just another verse in Ustalav’s long, haunted dirge? In this game, players can expect: 🦇Gothic Horror Atmosphere: Misty graveyards, candlelit manors, and whispers in the dark. Expect a tone that blends eerie suspense with folkloric dread. 🦴Monster-Hunting & Investigation: The adventure revolves around tracking, uncovering, and confronting supernatural threats - sometimes through combat, sometimes through cunning. 🐦⬛Moral Ambiguity: Not every “monster” deserves the blade; choices will shape how the people of Ustalav see you, the alliances you will be able to forge - and sworn enemies you will make. 🐈⬛Player Agency: You decide how to approach each horror, be it by steel, spell, or negotiation. ⚔️Occasional Relief: Expect grim and spooky vibes, but also flashes of humor, banter, and humanity to balance the shadows. This level 1-13 adventure will offer rich, gothic scenery, crunchy encounters and plenty of roleplay. It will follow a “Monster of the week” format at first, with a rich, overarching plot, and players’ backstories will be explored and integrated. About me
Hello everyone! My name is Robin, I have been a Dungeon Master for over 10 years. In this time I have ran a wide array of games: from one shots to long campaigns, from lighthearted quests to grimdark intrigue, from whimsy and fantastical to down to earth and realistic. No matter the setting or kind of game, my number one priority is making sure that everyone is having fun, enjoying themselves, and getting a fun break from day-to-day life. I'm currently GMing in Pathfinder 2e and DND 5e, and whether you're a veteran player or a complete newbie, I hope to get to roll some dice with you! All my games are LGBT+ friendly.

Creating your character
🎃 If this is your first time playing in a Pathfinder 2e game, please feel free to reach out to me via Message with any questions you might have about gameplay or the campaign. In that same vein, don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions concerning a character you might already have in mind! Character creation guidelines: 🔹 Make a level 1 PC using either the default or variant Ability Boost system. 🔹 Select your PC's starting equipment for your class (any published class and class variant/path is allowed.) 🔹 Please refer to the Campaign Guide for the list of allowed Ancestries and Heritages for the campaign. 🔹 Any alignment is allowed, but your PC must be able to play nice and work with the party. Lone wolves, murderhobos, or troublemakers will not be tolerated. 🔹 Free Archetype + Ancestry Paragon 🔸 I would advise that you build your character as someone who is fresh to adventuring, with not a lot of travel or combat under their belt. This ensures that your character will have a chance to grow organically with the adventure and the other party members.
