About the adventure
Free Session 0! This is an introductory campaign for Call of Cthulhu intended for players of all experience levels. The setting is a 1920s Boston during Prohibition. The players will uncover a mystery that goes deeper than just men wearing funny clothes and pointy hats. Tasked with investigating the order, the players will shed light on this newly established brotherhood in order to assuage the doubts of themselves or even their client. They will go from Boston and be thrust into a globe trotting horrific adventure filled with entities that do not care for their mortality. The players will battle for their sanity in 7 different scenarios taking place in 7 different locations of escalating difficulty and terror. From the streets of Boston, to New York city itself. From the US to Europe, ending up in Scotland where caves lay silent, expectant of new prey. And much more places on and under our planet. Death is sure to come around, but the players will have ample opportunities to save themselves or make a new character to carry the torch the rest of the way. This game is made for players who enjoy good ol' detective work that turns further and further into a mad scramble to not only save humanity; but your own skins. If you fail, it's not like your mind will comprehend the moment of your death anyway. Good luck, Investigator.

About me
I am a GM of 8 years. A semi-forever GM who plays once in a blue moon but runs things for his group most of the time. I have always enjoyed horror media, and so my start with tabletops was in 2019 with Call of Cthulhu. As I began to play it more and more I realized I wanted to learn how to GM it; and so I did. I loved investigative horror and most of my games stem from the experience of Call of Cthulhu. I want to be able to provide that awe experience I had playing CoC for the first time to others. I enjoyed the narrative elements of World of Darkness and that's what really stuck with me after my time with CoC. I did so on and off all throughout my University journey and even after. Throughout that time I have GM'd From Call of Cthluhu to Delta Green. Lancer to Mothership. I have GM'd several different World of Darkness lines (Mage, Wraith, Vampire and Werewolf). I have also started running Chronicles of Darkness and have interest in running more of it for more players. I am GM who loves to say 'yes and' and let in the collaborative experience of TTRPGs come to the center. I use theater of the mind a lot so I use maps less but I am not afraid to pull out a whiteboard (digital or not) to get my point across.

Creating your character
During our session 0, stats will be decided via point buy using foundry's Call of Cthulhu's 7th Edition module. You only need to use the 7E rulebook to make one. I will make the characters with you as well as with your other players.

What Vladimir brings to the table
I plan to create an ambience of horror and mystery. I will weave it into your roleplay and interactions via music, visuals and horrific/wonderful descriptions. Combat is deadly and scary. Your investigators are not heroic people; but average joes. Rule of Cool is king, but even the cool lose their sanity. Do not be afraid to try things, I will let you know if you were to do something that would result in your character's demise. (I might not say those exact words, but I will give you as much detail about the dangers of the actions you are about to perform). Expect high sanity loss, but high rewards as such for braving such horrors. I often given eldritch magick and spells to my players so keep an eye out. Most of the games I run use Theatre of the Mind and this no different. I will draw if clearer understanding of the environment is needed.
