About the adventure
When the ancient wizard Tyndareus develops a craving for a special treat from his childhood, he will stop at nothing to get his hands on the best apple pie in the whole world. He hires a group of adventurers to seek out the bakery that once produced the wonderful dessert. Unfortunately for them, the bakery has long since been overrun by goblins. But all is not as it seems at Grammy’s Bakery, and Tyndareus isn’t the only one who’d do anything for those pies.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I have two big passions: storytelling and doing funny voices. Playing D&D is the best way I've found to marry those two passions. I've been running games for friends for a few years now, and I want to share my love of D&D with as many people as I can!

Creating your character
I will provide pre-made character sheets for you to choose from after you sign up or at the start of the game. They will be low-level characters to make sure you don't have too many things to juggle while learning the ropes!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
- Make sure you have a Discord account, a D&D Beyond account, and a Roll 20 account (all free). - Make sure you have a microphone that transmits your voice clearly. - Make sure you come ready to have fun!
What Susannah Murphine brings to the table
- A dedicated Discord server that will host our games - Roll20 for maps and ambience - D&D Beyond Master-tier subscription - So. Many. Character voices! - Flexibility on the rules in order to let a cool thing happen (though within reason, of course - no game-breaking plans, please!) - A tendency to weave the characters into the world we're creating together (even if it's a premade world that we're merely inhabiting).
Homebrew rules
- Drinking a potion is a bonus action. Administering one is a full action. - When a critical success is rolled in combat, the attack automatically does maximum damage. Then, you get to roll damage as normal on top of that. (Example: if your weapon is a dagger that deals 1d4+1 damage, on a critical success you would deal 1d4+6 (the max damage of 5 is rolled into the bonus). - When a critical failure is rolled in combat, the attack will do damage to yourself or a nearby ally. If, on a ranged attack, there is no ally nearby, the attack will just miss.

Safety
How Susannah Murphine creates a safe table
The Deck of Player Safety will let me get an idea of what our absolute no-goes are. The X, N, and O cards will work as a lifeline within the game if you want to check in (O), you think something might be approaching an established boundary (N), or a boundary has been crossed and we need to redirect (X). You can share these either with me privately or with the whole group in our Discord chat.
