About the adventure
Join an adventure in the famous world of the Forgotten Realms. Ancient magic, rival factions, dangerous ruins, and whispered secrets buried beneath centuries of history. This high-fantasy adventure weaves rich lore into every session—hidden libraries, political tension, arcane mysteries, and threats that feel larger than your party but personal to your characters. Expect a strong balance of tactical combat, immersive roleplay, and meaningful exploration as you uncover lost knowledge and decide what to do with it. The game will be a small group (4 Players Max), ensuring plenty of spotlight time and real impact for every character. The group is respectful and collaborative, focused on shared storytelling and good table energy. **No gaming experience necessary. We are beginner friendly.** This is a short campaign, designed to deliver a complete, satisfying arc without long-term commitment—so you can jump in, experience something epic, and see if it’s the right fit for you.

About me
📝 About the GM Ever wanted to jump into a thrilling fantasy adventure — even if you've never rolled a d20 before? I’d love to bring you in. Since 2004, I’ve been weaving stories and rolling dice as a Dungeon Master, guiding players from first-level struggles to world-shaking triumphs. I thrive on crafting immersive, cinematic one-shots that give everyone a chance to shine. As an educator by trade, I’m comfortable helping new and veteran players alike — whether you’re fresh to the game or a seasoned explorer. I’ll walk you through character creation, mechanics, roleplay tips, and be your in-game “road sign” when things get chaotic. My goal? You feel confident, excited, and invested.

Creating your character
Characters: You will build characters on D&D Beyond. Use races and classes found in the official D&D content of 2014 and 2024 editions. If you have Heroes of Faerun, the content is a great fit for this game. https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/dnd/frhof?srsltid=AfmBOopdAgYv_HwsmpaEX_MX1G9kjCFnY1HOR6abNXHElx66efTyBm3m Use the point buy system for your ability scores. Begin at Level 1. Our first session we will set some ground rules, get to know the party, then begin the adventure.
We welcome a mix of first time players and veterans alike. If you are a rules lawyer, this may not be a good fit for you. We choose to have fun.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be running the game through D&D Beyond. (Character builds, dice rolling, maps, notes) Our communication will be through Discord. I will be sending you a link to the D&D Beyond Campaign and Discord Server just prior to the first session.
What Kent brings to the table
I bring immersive music (optional), official Forgotten Realms maps, and rich lore woven into a living, reactive world. My DM style is fun and fast-paced. I’ve been a DM for decades, keep combat smooth, do voices, and lean into strong roleplay. I follow the rules—but the story and Rule of Cool always win. Players can expect a welcoming, respectful table. I run a collaborative game where everyone gets spotlight time. If someone disrupts the vibe, I address it directly and quickly. The goal is simple: epic storytelling with people who want to have a great time together.

How Kent creates a safe table
Before the game starts I will ask for any boundaries that we should respect. If they are a good fit for the game we will agree as a table to follow them. If a player is out of line, we will ask that player to leave.
