About the adventure
TALES From the Loom is a system I've been working on for a few years. The setting is high fantasy with some sci-fi elements sprinkled in. I run free play testing sessions for groups ranging from 2-6 players, typically for 2-3 hours. The game is pretty quick to learn, promise! Sessions are first come first serve and generally scheduled 1 week ahead of time. Joining the campaign here will let me know you'd like in and I'll send you a DM with some more information! If you enjoy games like: Ironsworn, D&D, Pbta, or OSR inspired games, you may find TFTL compelling! Hope to see you at the table soon!

About me
Hey there! My name is Jarren, but please, call me Wyrdo. I've been a GM for the past 10ish years mostly running games in 5e, but now I'm developing my own system called TALES From the Loom! Ill be running free games here to play test and get the word out Occasionally I run free one-shots in the TFTL discord as well, contact me for a link! Thanks! Mobile friendly table! I use a shmeppy which runs pretty decently on mobile and tablet, no tech restrictions here!

We will go through the core rules and character creation in a free session 0. You'll need an account on Canva or Google docs or for your character sheet, you could also do pen and paper sheets or the downloadable, editable PDF from my DrivethruRPG page
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Makes sure you have a Discord, Canva or Google docs, and Shmeppy account setup (all free) and a decent mic, and If you want to roll your own dice, you'll need at least 10 d6s! possibly a pencil/pen and paper as well!
What Jarren/Sics/Wyrdo brings to the table
I bring the core rules, character sheets, and a Discord server where Im building a community around this game.
Homebrew rules
The entries system is homebrew. Heres a brief explanation of the core of the system and how it functions: Every roll in TALES is made with a dice pool of D6’s, the number of dice in the pool is noted by the number before the letter “D” e.g., 3D=3d6 Modifiers (Dice Pool + Modifier + Narrative Bonus): Most actions involve rolling a dice pool (e.g., 4D for an attack). The Modifier you add to this roll is always equal to the number of dice in the dice pool for that specific skill or action, except for damage rolls. For example: If a character's Diplomacy skill has a 2D dice pool, their Diplomacy roll would be 2D + 2 + any Narrative Bonus. If a Difficulty Rating (DR) is set as 3D, the target number the players need to beat is the result of the 3D roll + 3 (the DR's Modifier).

How Jarren/Sics/Wyrdo creates a safe table
Boundaries, triggers and no-go themes discussed in a private session, I have an open door policy so my Discord messages are always open, though sometimes it may take a few hours to respond. Breaks can be taken at anytime if RP becomes too intense or you just need a break, just let me know!
