About the adventure
Boston is a thriving city of magic and the supernatural, but every day it becomes more clear that something is very wrong. While Sleepers live the Lie, mages are, by nature, in tune with the Supernal Truth of the reality around them. That truth is becoming less clear. Abyssal taint is creeping into spells, both basic and complex, at an alarming rate. The more powerful the mage, the more problems they're having, and it seems to be working its way down the ladder of Supernal understanding. Mages with less Gnosis are starting to notice the effects as well. The Guardians and Arrows have formed a joint force to locate, research, and terminate the cause before it gets further out of hand.

About me
My name is Chris and I've been running games consistently for the past ten years, with periodic games for the fifteen years prior. My preferred systems are World of Darkness and Call of Cthulhu, and I currently run games of both Vampire: The Masquerade and Call of Cthulhu for friends. I also have a few years experience with Mage: The Awakening, 2nd Edition. My games have run from one-shots to multi-year campaigns. While I have run modules, such as Masks of Nyarlathotep or Horror on the Orient Express, my games are primarily written by myself. I much prefer theater of the mind to miniatures and tactical games.

Creating your character
We will create characters during a session 0. This game will be comprised of a focused task to accomplish over a handful of sessions rather than an expansive campaign. Plan to make a Guardians of the Veil or Adamantine Arrow member as the task at hand will involve primarily those factions. Any Path will do. We will open with beginner level mages using the core book and Signs of Sorcery.
What to expect

We will use Discord for voice/video and Foundry for characters and dice. You will need a free player account on Forge to access Foundry.

To this game I will bring an original adventure, a mysterious tone, and a bit of horror. I am flexible with the magic system, and I work with my players to help focus on what they want to accomplish within the game's framework.
