About the adventure
Between the city towers of Neverwinter and the wind-swept peaks of the Sword Mountains lies the humble village of Phandalin. The lands surrounding the village have become increasingly dangerous of late. The cruel dragon known as Cryovain has taken up residence somewhere in the mountains above. His menacing presence has sent monsters fleeing from their dark caves. Orcs, goblins, and even manticores have been spotted near the roads and forests. Paranoid merchants now hire adventurers to protect their wares and their very lives. And it’s here our story opens with several such adventures traveling alongside a merchant's wagon... Ahead, you see the twisting chimney plumes of Phandalin creeping over the treetops. But below that--from the cover of the forest's edge--the sun glints off a nocked arrow. The gap-toothed smile of an orc stretches ever wide. Rustling leaves suggest more of the creatures lie in wait for the merchant. And for you. What do you do...? In this 1-2 month adventure, heroes will have the chance to interact with a wide range of personalities, explore an island cove, solve the lighthouse mystery, and fight for their very lives in exciting combat encounters. Characters will start the one-shot at level 3 and progress to level 6 by the end. This is a post at your own pace game over Discord. I'll check in three times every weekday. Players are asked to check in twice every weekday. Please reach out to me if you have questions.

About me
I cut my teeth on roleplaying with West End's Star Wars system at a young age. I quickly learned that RPGs were an awesome way to connect with people who have similar interests, and these games also scratch an artistic itch. When I'm not involved in something kind of geeky, I'm involved in something incredibly geeky--probably involving superheroes. I enjoy all things comics, Transformers, Science Fiction, and fantasy (especially when dice are involved). Despite each of these child-like addictions, my wife, Cindy, continues to love me in a super adult-like fashion. Also, I've published over 30 books, which you can see here: https://www.amazon.com/author/sevanparis

Creating your character
I can help you create a character during zero session or between sessions, you can bring one that you've already created, or I can provide a pre-generated character. Reach out if you have any questions.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Free Discord and DnD Beyond account required. Communication will be over Discord. We'll use Avrae for die rolling. I'll be posting screenshots of maps during combat.
What Sevan Paris brings to the table
Through my DnD Beyond account, you will have access to the Player's Handbook, Monster Manual, and the Dungeon Master's Guide, along with other materials. I will provide maps and tokens that we'll use over Discord and DnD Maps. A fast-paced narrative, combat, and puzzles.

How Sevan Paris creates a safe table
During Zero Session, we will discuss veils and lines the players want to establish. This adventure will contain NPCs who attempt to kidnap children. But it will not contain violence against children.
