About the adventure

This campaign is all about feys, dreams and not judging a book by its cover. Not combat heavy, it's more like living through a fairy tale. A twisted one, full of colorful NPCs and dreamlike scenery. It can be played by newer players if they are comfortable with more dialogue heavy stories and don't want to try their hand at tactical combat. The more prominent themes are trust & betrayal, childhood wonders & fears.

About me

Hello! I've been a GM for more than 15 years now, on a variety of games, from D&D to Thirsty Sword Lesbians. I do a lot of initiations for new players but also play with more seasoned players on a daily basis. I like to make sure everyone is comfortable at the table, use safety tools and discuss in advance the themes of my games to make certain nothing will bother anyone.

Character creation

Creating your character

The character creation will be handled during our first session. You will all start at 1st level and I will guide you through it. We will use a point buy system to decide your stats, that I will explain to you if you need me to. Together, we will talk through your backstories and how you know the other player characters to create bonds that will help roleplay. I will provide, on Discord, some elements to help you imagine that backstory before the first sessions (some NPC names and places, for example). I will also give you a choice between a few possible adventure hook that will push your characters towards adventure! We will play on roll20 and use the Player Handbook for the 2014 5th edition and the added options from the campaign (such as species for example).

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need to have an account on roll20: https://roll20.net/ I prefer to use Discord instead of the roll20 tools for microphones and webcams.

What Élise brings to the table

I run roleplay heavy games, where I make NPC voices and use music to create and ambiance. Long, tactical combat is not supposed to happen in this campaign, even though some mild combat is to be expected. I prefer to stick to the rule of cool and make your characters shine.

Homebrew rules

- If you use an action to drink a potion, you get the maximum HP it can give you back. If you use a bonus action, you roll the dice! - When you roll the dice for your health points, if you roll under the average, you pick the average instead. I prefer the Player Characters to have more health points on average.

How Élise creates a safe table

I will provide you with a sheet so you can give me your Lines and Veils and use the X Card during gameplay.
