About the adventure

The Plane of Shattersea is a water-locked world where dry land is rare and the sea is never empty. Beneath its waves move more than fish and leviathans—there are things older than storms, hungrier than empires, and patient as the tide. This is a realm of salt and cannon smoke. Of shattered hulls and black-flag legends. Here, pirates sit at the top of the food chain, carving their names into the bones of the ocean and chasing infamy as fiercely as gold. What little land exists belongs to The Civil Kingdom—a rigid empire of stone citadels and ironclad fleets. Their banners fly over every major port. Their cannons guard every safe harbor. Their armadas patrol the horizon with one purpose: crush piracy and restore “order” to a world that refuses to be tamed. But pressure builds. The Kingdom tightens its grip. Pirate lords whisper of rebellion. Smugglers vanish in the night. Storms gather where skies were once clear. All it takes is a single spark—a stolen relic, a murdered admiral, a powder keg lit too soon—and Shattersea will erupt into open war. You are a pirate crew. Will you shatter the Kingdom’s hold and ignite revolution? Will you rise as the most feared name on the sea? Will you hunt leviathans and sell their bones? Will you chase the lost treasures that even empires fear to claim? The horizon is wide. The cannons are loaded. The storms are rising. Raise the black flag. Adventure waits beyond the break.

About me

Hello everyone! My name is Star Guardian, and I'm here to make some incredible stories with some incredible people! I've been playing TTRPG's for about 10 years, starting from Dungeons and Dragons, and moving onto other games! It's become my passion and I want nothing more than to share it with everyone else! I'm available every single day and love helping people with problems, coming up with amazing stories to share with other people. If you have a dream, I want to make it a reality!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen before the adventure begins, during a relaxed Session 0. This gives everyone a chance to meet, talk about ideas, and see what kinds of characters the party is shaping up to be. If this is your first-ever D&D game or you’re unsure what you want to play, don’t worry! I’ll walk you through every step and help you find a character that fits your style. Characters will start at Level 3, and we’ll roll ability scores together using the classic 4d6 (drop the lowest) method, then assign them however you like. I’ll be present the whole time to explain what each stat does, answer questions, and help translate the rules into plain language so nothing feels overwhelming. All characters will be created using official and homebrew D&D material, with guidance provided on what options are best for new players. The goal is simple: make a character you’re excited to play, understand how they work, and feel confident stepping into the story when the adventure begins

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Just have a discord! That's all that's required!

What Star Guardian brings to the table

A full list of expected homebrew to look through! Subclasses, feats, and the like! In addition, I'll be bringing up playlists for ambiance and exciting moments! Tuppers to make the world feel lived in, roleplaying to make the world feel alive, and combat that's rich and engaging!

Homebrew rules

A whole lot! But to start, drinking potions is going to be a free action but we have, more specifically: Nautical themed Subclasses! Play as a Corsair Fighter, a Bilge rat Rogue, a Shanty singing bard, a druid capable of pulling powers from the deepest depths, a warlock blessed by the great underwater gods, and more! Feats that pertain to pirate themed play and roleplay! Mystical items, cursed weapons, and treasures the likes of which you've never seen or heard of! Massive enemies, boat related combat, and more!

Safety

How Star Guardian creates a safe table

Player comfort and safety always come first. Before the game begins, I make time for a one-on-one conversation with every new player to talk through boundaries, preferences, and anything you’d like me to be aware of, no pressure, no judgment. This ensures you know exactly what kind of story you’re stepping into and that nothing unwanted finds its way into the game. During Session 0, we’ll also go over tone, themes, and expectations as a group, and I remain open to check-ins at any point during the campaign. If something ever feels uncomfortable, you can message me privately at any time and we’ll course-correct immediately, no explanations required. This is a collaborative, respectful table where everyone is treated like a friend first and a player second. My role as your Dungeon Master is not just to tell a story, but to make sure it’s one you feel safe, heard, and excited to be part of everything.
