About the adventure
Style of the Campaign This campaign is strongly focused on the characters and their stories. The world and the main plot will grow directly from the players' backstories, motivations, and choices. Each character will bring pieces of the world with them. Locations, factions, allies, enemies, and personal goals will all become part of the campaign. As the game progresses, multiple storylines will develop and slowly connect together. This is a cooperative world building experience where we create the story together. I will bring prepared plots, secrets, and events based on what you give me. The direction of the campaign will be shaped by the characters. The goal is to create a living story where the players are building their own legend. Setting The campaign takes place in a classic high fantasy world inspired by traditional D&D adventures. Expect villages, cities, ancient forests, forgotten ruins, magical places, political intrigue, and powerful forces shaping the land. Exploration and discovery will play an important role as the world slowly reveals its secrets. Some stories may focus on local problems in small communities, while others may grow into larger events affecting entire regions.

About me
Hi, I’m David! Storytelling has been my passion since childhood. I used to build endless adventures with my toys and regularly ignored bedtime to keep the stories going. That creative spark evolved through my teen years into live action roleplaying (LARP), where I discovered a love for improvisation and collaborative world building. I’ve been playing Dungeons & Dragons for 29 years, starting with AD&D at age 10 and stepping into the Dungeon Master role by 13. Since then, I’ve been crafting immersive and engaging worlds designed to draw players in and keep the energy high.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
This first chapter is a mini campaign lasting around 3 to 4 months. During this time, the main storylines will develop and reach their conclusion. After that, there will be a time skip before a possible Chapter 2, which may include returning or new players. Session 0 We will create characters together, expand on backstories, and build connections between the party. We may also run a short prequel combat to test character synergy. Session 1 Sessions take place every week at the same time. Occasionally we may skip a week to allow space for real life events. I am looking for committed players who want to help build a strong and interesting story together. We will use Roll20 for maps, tokens, dice rolls, and music, and Discord voice channels to communicate during the game. No webcam is required.
What David brings to the table
My DMing style tends to move at a fairly high pace. While the world building and character stories are important, I like to make sure that every session includes some form of adventure. This might be exploration, combat, dangerous encounters, or important discoveries. I try to move the story forward so we reach the exciting parts of the game quickly rather than spending long periods without action. Roleplay and character moments are still an important part of the game, but sessions usually aim to include meaningful progress and engaging situations for the party.

How David creates a safe table
We will be using X cards when needed. At any time, you can use one or send me an “X” in private, and we will immediately change the subject if you feel uncomfortable. Sensitive topics will be discussed at the beginning of the session and respected throughout the game using the X card system. Players are always free to step away from the session at any time and for any reason, no explanation needed, and we will take at least one scheduled break during the game to make sure everyone stays comfortable and refreshed.
