About the adventure
New players and old alike, come on in! This adventure is set in the Forgotten Realms and will take players from levels 1-12. I intend this campaign to be available for all ages and experience levels. I like to give my NPCs voices and personality and hope my players want the same for their characters! I'm hoping for lots of roleplay, but I imagine about a 50/50 split of roleplay and combat. All I ask that you know about Dungeons and Dragons coming in is how to make and maintain a character sheet. Looking for players who aren't trying to "win" DND, players who want to join a table to have fun and enjoy a fantasy story together.

About me
I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons 5e since 2014 and have DM'ed for friends since about 2017. I recently began DMing for Playforge, a game store in Littleton, CO, running a short campaign for a group that meets weekly. I love low-level Dungeons and Dragons (1-10), as I find it makes the game move faster when the players have less to look at and it can help lessen decision paralysis in a game where you can do practically anything! I love to reward creativity, so long as it can land somewhere in the realm of possible. I also appreciate and encourage good roleplay, for those who love to dive right into their characters personality.

Creating your character
Characters will be made during session 1 in Roll20. This will be for the sake of any party balance the players may want to work with. Once we get our characters together, I will run a combat scenario to see how the party works with one another. This gives the players an opportunity to test out their characters and see if there are any changes they wanted to make before the adventure starts proper.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I'll send you an invite to a discord server and to a Roll20 campaign. You will only need to make an account for these 2 things. Accounts for these are free and easy to create :)
What Parker brings to the table
I provide my NPCs a few various voices and hope you do the same for your characters! Combat will be tactical but never for the sake of attempting a Total Party Kill. I embrace the Rule of Cool, but I do enjoy many of the rules as guidelines for the game.
Homebrew rules
Potions are bonus actions. Critical Hits will be given double damage dice rolls. There are so many great options for simple quality of life homebrew rules, so I am always open to suggestions as we come across things!

How Parker creates a safe table
A link for a Lines and Veils document will be sent out prior to session 1. If anything that is brought up during a session that crosses a line either not mentioned or not thought of prior, just send me a message we can handle from there. Player comfortability is a must!
