About the adventure
"Down on your luck? It happens to the best of us. Well things are looking up, you just got a job! That is, if you aren't above reorganizing the ownership of certain valuables. Barbarian doesn't get it? Speak plainly? We are gonna take stuff that don't belong to us." Keys of the Golden Vault is a series of daring heists that takes characters form level 1-11. Each caper has multiple ways to navigate its challenges so bring your thinking caps! First you case the joint, then you devise a plan, after that you try to execute the plan. This third part, rarely works out how you intended. Will you be in and out before anyone knows you are there and become Marim's newest criminal masterminds? Or will you smash and grab your way to infamy with brute force?

Creating your character
We will be using the Standard Array method of determining attributes to keep things fair for everyone. (15,14,13,12,10,8 arranged as you please among your attributes.) You may be any race and class combination from major published works.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We are going to be using D&D beyond for character sheets and maps, and Discord to talk to each other. I will provide a campaign link, which will allow you to use all my content to produce characters. Come up with a reason why your character is taking a job like this. Are they down on their luck? Or is this their big break? What does your character care about? Some fellow thieves? The city? Doing wrong things for the right reasons?
What Emmett brings to the table
A large fleshed out City called Marim. I have a diverse cast of NPC characters (all of whom have voices) that players get to roleplay and bounce off of. I have run this module for kids at community centers so I can handle a lot of creativity, and a reasonable amount of homebrew.
Homebrew rules
Perkins Crits: maximize normal damage, role additional critical damage. This guarantees your crits are greater than a normal max damage role. Stunts from the Heart: I will allow an amount of flexibility with the rules if the motivations are story or character first.

How Emmett creates a safe table
I have worked with people young and old, and the player experience comes first and foremost. If you aren't having a good time, I have failed. Before we begin we will talk about our Lines and Veils, and I like a brief check in about real life stuff before we begin.
