About the adventure

You awoke in a pile of random debris. It looks like like a tornado tore through... well a bit of everything. Discarded clothes, books, lumber, wagon wheels, and other broken things lay at your feet and before you for miles and miles is a horizon of rubble and ruin. You are unharmed as far as you can tell, but not alone. Others like yourself began to rouse themselves from the piles. While you cant remember much about how you got here, you do remember who you are at least. What little comfort you this gives you is swiftly removed as you hear thunder from on high and lighting crash down around you. A storm is approaching and as you stare up at the porcelain clouds you see things start to fall. Houses, barns, a bakery and boat shop. Chaos spewing forth as in the architecture you make out the flailing figures of people. ...And so, you run. For cover or to save the fallen, who could tell? Where you go, how you find your way, how you handle the situation is all up for anyone's interpretation. You took your steps, when you saw it in the far distance. An obelisk of grand scale, the only thing of any substance or landmark-able ability in this wasteland. If there is somewhere to go, it might be there? A land where seemingly random things fall from the sky, an impossibly tall monument to something best left forgotten. You are all you have here, you and whatever you find around yourself. Meet a myriad of various characters, find tokens of power, uncover the mystery of this wasteland!

About me

Salutations. My name is Jonis, I go by the DM name of It That Speaks. Ive been running games on and off for the last ten years or so and have decided to capitalize on it in a more proactive sense. I'm familiar with D&D 5e, pathfinder, Call of Cthulhu, and Mutants and Masterminds to name a few systems. I am eager to help build a narrative and share art with the any who would appreciate the process that is a ttrpg.

Character creation

Creating your character

You will be making your PC before your session zero on my foundry VTT session. Session zero will be the introduction of everyone PCs and will be happening at the beginning of the game. This game will start the PCs at level 3. You have the option of a stat array, point buy, or if you feel neither of those are what you want. I allow my own Statroll Macro I will share with you. I am all game for any official book materiel from 2014. If I am convinced by enough people to run 2024 rules I can attempt to buff myself on it. I am more familiar with 2014 however, so that will be the default. You may also use grimhollow as I am familiar with that as well. I am open to homebrew so long as I have time to review and approve it.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

First, and most important rule, is always pack a smile with you before you go anywhere. Next make sure you add me on discord so I can share the game server and foundry links. Please, try to have your microphone ready and working.

What Jonis brings to the table

I run game with some select ambience, it is to your preference on what volume you are most comfortable with. I employ myself to do most of the scene setting, mapping, acting, and other associated tasks for a well ran game. I check with everyone to make sure they are prepared the day of game. I send out an alert the morning of, an hour beforehand, 15 minutes to, and finally at game time that game is happening.

Homebrew rules

House Rules 1. We roll for severity on critical hits and misses! Whoever rolls a crit rolls a D100 and based on what was rolled, you will know the severity of you crit. 2. We round up for the heros, and round down for the monsters. 3. Cantrips have gradual prowess. This means if you have an improved cantrip (Ex. Firebolt at level 5) you have the ability to cast your previous levels cantrip as a bonus action. Denoting your acumen with your magic. 4.Barbarians can cast racial spells while raging.
