About the adventure
Lord Olwin has sent out a missive: some strange fey incursion has occurred near the village of Falgren, and help is needed! A generous reward has been offered for anyone to discover the source of and undo the strange mist surrounding the village. Your PC has decided to answer that call, but you decide whether it's for good, glory, or gold. This is a gothic horror campaign, with the PCs slowly uncovering a plot that goes far beyond a few stray gremlins. And while the initial enemies hail from the First World, an vampire mastermind lies behind it all. Brave the wilds, dig into the graveyards, and finally infiltrate the castle that lies at the rotten heart of Falgren. Players of all experience are welcome at the table, especially anyone looking to step away from D&D. Please don't be afraid to make mistakes! PF2e is a dense and crunchy game, and no one knows all the rules. Learning is part of play, and I'll do my best to adjudicate rules to keep everything running smoothly. Yay math! Please note: this is *not* the Curse of Strahd campaign converted to Pathfinder. 1) I haven't played it, and 2) I want to provide a fresh adventure for people who might already be familiar with the adventure (thanks, Stranger Things!).

About me
I started playing TTRPGs as a kid with my dad, who introduced me to D&D 2e (but don't ask me to explain THAC0). I have most experience playing D&D 3.5 and 5, Pathfinder 2e, and Kids on Bikes. I'm queer, and want to make sure everyone feels comfortable at the table. Sometimes NPCs might have biased or bigoted views, but they are often villains or their views will be frowned upon by others.

Creating your character
Session 0 will go over PC creation, allowing players to discuss personal preferences and party balancing. Players are encouraged to bring ideas for multiple characters! We can also work on 'porting' character ideas from D&D, but be aware that abilities will not be 1:1. We will also discuss story conceits, playability of classes, and expectations for the ruleset/campaign. The adventure starts at Level 1, and starting equipment will be provided.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Gameplay is done on Foundry VTT, which requires an internet connection (but no account). Live chat is done on Discord, which will require a mic (webcam optional). Otherwise players do not need to bring any rulebooks, sheets, or dice. However, all of the rules for Pathfinder 2e are available online for free! I recommend using Pathbuilder (pathbuilder2e.com) for initial character creation and Archive of Nethys (2e.aonprd.com) for rules references.
What Jason brings to the table
We will play using Foundry VTT, but players do not need any experience (or account) to play. A second screen can be helpful to bring up Discord chat, but a phone can also be used. This allows you to play in a world full of unique NPCs, monsters, and locales! I can't promise a unique voice for every character, but will do my best to make the world feel alive and lived in. Combat is frequent, but PCs will also find plenty of opportunities to use social or knowledge skills as they meet people and navigate the strange village of Falgren. I will provide rules where appropriate for skill checks, but am also happy to wave away rules for the sake of a good story.

How Jason creates a safe table
Session 0 will go over expectations for players and GM, modifying the Lines/Veils as appropriate so all players feel safe enough and are trusted to play together. I as GM am also available outside of play sessions to discuss any player concerns.
