About the adventure
You are the Heroes of Light, bestowed with mystic crystals of elemental power and tasked with restoring a world fallen to chaos and destruction. You will need to travel the world and together restore the power of the crystals and defeat the evils which threaten the people of this world, and in doing so fulfilling your prophesized roles as the heroes who will restore peace and balance. This game will use the Fabula Ultima system to retell and reimagine the story, setting, and characters of the original Final Fantasy, adapted for a collaborative tabletop rpg experience. The game will begin with a no-charge session 0 to discuss characters, expectations, and player safety.

About me
I've been playing TTRPGs for just over a decade and have been GMing them for nearly as long. I have learned a lot in that time but of course there is always room for growth and improvement. I pride myself on my adaptive approach, adjusting my style based on the system I am playing and the group I am with. I dabble in a bit of whatever I can get my hands on but I particularly enjoy games in sci-fi and horror settings and with an emphasis on exploration/investigation and tactical combat.

Character creation will be discussed as a group during Session 0, following the guidelines in the Fabula Ultima core rulebook.

How Benjamin creates a safe table
A list of boundaries and expectations will be discussed and laid out during Session 0. Each session will have at least one scheduled break, and players are free to leave the table on their own should the need to. To borrow the movie rating system, players can roughly expect a PG to PG13 experience. Above all, every player is expected to treat the others at the table with respect and dignity. There will be no tolerance for hateful or disrespectful conduct towards others. If any unexpected sensitive themes or material come up during play players are encouraged to request a pause in the gameplay to discuss the triggering content and how to best manage it. The GM also maintains an open communication policy so players who may not wish to discuss the matters openly with the group may choose to approach me privately between (or during) sessions should the need arise.
