About the adventure
ASH is a case study in turning lemons to profit. A highly addictive substance made from the remains of the living dead, ASH has caught every fashionable corner around the Caribbean- no island has been left untouched. But the party may soon be over for the people of paradise, who are finding themselves contending with more than just bones and hangovers. Krakens and cutthroats are terrorizing the seas, while witches and Inquisitors torment the town locals. No-one is safe. So here you are. A fresh landlubber, ready to make your mark. Join up with a crew, sail for gold, spend it (and your days) living how you wish, while life remains to you. This is an open world, where you get to make your own choices, while also navigating the obstacles your characters will face. This game is inspired by Sid Meier's Pirates! and the Mork Borg dark fantasy game. Get ready for action, horror, and adventure out on the open seas. *This game will contain sensitive and mature themes. Player awareness is advised.*

Creating your character
Character creation is very easy, we'll handle that when you join the game at our 1-1 session 0. You'll start as a classless Landlubber and will grow your way out from there. Survive, earn your pieces-of-8, and sail with a team of your very own.

How DM Steve creates a safe table
This is a grim environment that riffs off the real world. The characters within this game are also facing a very real end-of-the-world scenario, and, like the other Mork Borg games, this will bring some pretty dark and dismal stuff. Safety tools are in place for everyone's use at the table. These can be used privately or openly with the group, but please consider whether this is the kind of game you wish to be involved with. We'll go over lines and veils during our pre-game 1-1.
