About the adventure

In the twilight markets of Baldur's Gate, a weary young noblewoman snapped at her crying infant brother and muttered, “I wish the goblins would just take you away.” The words were foolish, fleeting—and answered. At the thirteenth toll of the Wide’s bells, the nursery window burst open on a cold, perfumed wind. Tiny footprints of ash marked the floor. Laughter—shrill and delighted—echoed down the alleys. By morning, the child was gone. Outside the city’s eastern wall, where no garden stood the night before, a vast hedge maze now coils across the fields, its briars gleaming with frost despite the season. Minstrels swear they see lanternlight drifting within its green corridors. Dockworkers claim a pale, beautiful figure watches from impossible stairways twisting against the sky, a crystal orb turning idly in his gloved hand. The family is desperate, but the Watch refuses to approach the unnatural growth. A scrap of parchment was found pinned to the nursery cradle: “Thirteen chimes from wish to crown. Speak my name, and I come down.” The bell has already chimed 4 times. ________________________ This adventure is tailor-made for both newcomers and veterans of Dungeons & Dragons 5e (2024 edition). Characters will start at 3rd level for this adventure. **NOTE: This is a regulated story to ensure time accuracy within the allocated time frame specified. As such, this is not a sandbox-oriented adventure as you may experience within a campaign. My adventures contain 3 parts - Opening, Adventure, and Epilogue. To meet expectations of players participating, I may make adjustments as we play to meet the expectations players have signed up for, which includes managing the time so it doesn't end too early or take too long than was expected.

About me

Take a seat by the fire and lend me your ear, for I see the same restless spark in your eyes that lit mine all those years ago. If you’ve ever lost yourself in the pages of a fantasy tome, or watched heroes clash steel beneath storm-dark skies, then you already know the call. That deep, undeniable yearning to step into the story—not just read it. To feel the weight of a sword in your hand, or trace your fingers over the brittle vellum of an ancient spellbook. To behold mountains that scrape the heavens, and to ride snarling beasts through emerald forests older than time. Yes... I know that call well. No more waiting. The winds of Faerûn stir once more, and destiny is calling your name. Let's go...

What Oscar (Starwood Adventures) brings to the table

• Rule of Cool is my main DM gaming style. • I use music and sound effects to help build the experience. The focus is always on story first, mechanics second. I take character backgrounds into account where it makes sense in the story if I can. Most of my games will always aspire to provide an equal balance of every areas of enjoyment - combat, puzzles, and role play. I try to ensure there is something in every adventure for everyone, and will alway try to ensure everyone is getting attention and being heard. I love VTT like all of you, and for me, it's a passion I want to share and allow others to express as they wish.
