About the adventure
Learn to create characters and play Dungeons and Dragons in a short campaign: Have you ever wanted to learn the worlds greatest role-playing game and felt overwhelmed? My name is Leland, and I am a Dungeon Master with over 25 years experience, with experience introducing new folks to the hobby during that entire time. I am recruiting for a short campaign that will span 2-4 sessions, which includes a Session 0 where you will get hands on character creation guidance as well as an introduction to the rules and using a virtual tabletop to interact with the environment. We will then proceed into the adventure!(Should you wish an accelerated experience pre-generated characters are available by request) What is the adventure? Death House: While traveling between taverns with your companions you are approached by two distraught children, a brother and sister. They beg for your help in getting their baby brother out of their parents' homr before he can be eaten by the monster in their basement. Inside the house is a terror you cannot imagine. You and your companions must discover the secrets of the Death House if you want to save the children and escape with your lives! While you do, you will also learn of the greater mystery: Count Strahd Von Zarovich: a lord suffering under a terrible curse. This adventure – should you choose – can lead into a greater adventure to unravel that mystery as well in the long term campaign “Curse of Strahd”

Greetings, fellow travelers, my name is Leland and I am a Storyteller and Game Master with experience in TTRPG's, Live Action Role Play and writing. For me the passion for gaming started back in jr. high, over twenty years ago. I loved how much more immersed and interactive a roleplaying game was compared to the board games and video games I grew up playing. The love for the hobby followed me into university where I created a school sponsored organization celebrating all types of gaming and dedicated to bringing together a community of folks passionate to engage! Since then, I've helped tables as a GM to develop that same community aspect. A place where you don't just show up and leave on time like some 9-5 job, you're here to make memories with some awesome players who love the game as much as you. Creating your character
Characters can be developed and finalized during or before Session 0, with the following parameters: -Use the linked DND Beyond Campaign to create your characters, which I will upload into Foundry. -We are using the 2024 ruleset, with backwards compatibility for expanded rules content. All WOTC content is allowed, 3rd party or partnered content must be approved before it can be used. -Abilities set using Point Buy, HP set to Fixed, Leveling set to Milestone. Starting Equipment or average gold buy for gear -Characters will begin at Level 2 and end at level 4 (With the option to transfer this character to Curse of Strahd -Pre-generated Characters available on request

During that session we can discuss specifics further and help to facilitate everyone's enjoyment.
