About the adventure

An adventure that's a little different every time! Using the deck of many things as a guide, a new adventure is created for the hero's. The tone will be generally upbeat, with challenges ranging from puzzles to intense combat along the way, our group of adventurers will find their way through. The tone can change dramatically otherwise depending on the cards, but will stay away from anything extreme. A table for anybody who wants a little fun, although it is not a long term campaign. A great place for new players to learn, and for veteran players to try something new. A short and sweet adventure to have some fun playing the game! Very little serious themes or consistent tone, although as it is an improv game, those things can be developed on an individual level, and be exposed on a larger scale as well!

About me

I have been DMing for 6 years now. I have done several games and one-shots, with one campaign spanning all 20 levels. I have almost exclusively played Dungeons and Dragons 5e, having dipped my fingers just momentarily to look at other systems. I played during the pandemic, so have done stuff virtually as well as actual tabletop. I enjoy the fun of roleplay more than the fun of combat (although it is close). Enjoy fantasy and higher levels of magic, getting creative with it is part of what I enjoy most.

Character creation

Creating your character

Players will create a character beforehand, and instructions as to what needs to happen will be given in the session preparation, as it may change from game to game of this one-shot.

The current party

Characters will be level 12, and this will be updated as characters join!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Please ensure that you have a discord profile so you can join the discord where communications happen, as well as a D&D beyond account so that characters can be handed out or created.

What Aktor #1 brings to the table

I will provide character options for people who do not have time beforehand, as well as ambient music as much as is able. Rule of cool is the primary idea, although the rules are still used as guidelines. Loose and with the flow, trying to ensure characters all get their time to shine!

Homebrew rules

I use critical successes and failures outside of combat, potion drinking is a bonus action, talking during combat can happen whenever.

Safety

How Aktor #1 creates a safe table

A deck of Player safety will be sent out beforehand to ensure uncomfortable topics don't get breached. X, N, & O cards will be messaged to me directly.
