About the adventure
When Harben Wester, beleaguered Townmaster of Phandalin, begs for aid to heal his ailing mother, it sounds like a simple errand: trek into Neverwinter Wood and retrieve a unicorn’s blessing. Easy enough—until you meet Uni, a sassier-than-expected unicorn who’s lost something rather important: their magical horn. Suddenly, your mission of mercy becomes a race against time as you dive headfirst into enchanted glades, tangle with talking animals, dodge magical traps, and face the schemes of a villainous wizard whose name is definitely not worth saying out loud. This is a tale of charm, chaos, and heroics—where solving puzzles is as vital as swinging swords, and the power of friendship might just be your greatest weapon. Whether you gallop, glide, or trip your way through the forest, one thing’s for sure: the legend of Uni is about to get a few new chapters. Can you restore the unicorn’s horn, save the town, and maybe—just maybe—keep a straight face while doing it?

About me
Hi there! I'm Joe aka Phoenix! I'm a seasoned GM with many years of experience running all kinds of different TTRPGs! I'm very supportive of my fellow LGBTQ+ community. I enjoy crafting unique character driven stories where your silly ideas shape the world around you.

Creating your character
Players should create a level 4 character using the new 2024 Players Handbook material before the session, but there will also be some time set aside at the beginning of the session for me to help and answer any questions. We will be using 2024 rules and please use either Standard array or point buy to allocate stats.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have the following: - access to a webcam/mic - a dndbyond account (for building characters and accessing the campaign and VTT) - a discord account (for playing the game)
What Joe (Phoenix) brings to the table
I will provide all necessary links to play the game and all game material. Such as, the discord server, dndbeyond campaign, and VTT I mainly focus on roleplay and story telling with a bit of puzzles and some combat to keep things spicy. I am a very rules light kind of GM I use the rules more like guidelines and just want people to come together and have a good time playing some dnd!
Homebrew rules
- Drinking a potion can be either a bonus action or a full action. - On a critical hit in combat (Nat 20) you double the damage dice. One die is automatically the highest number on the die. A Natural 1 on initiative gives you disadvantage on your first hit. - When a dying character fails their third death saving throw, they can immediately take any single action Those are the Big Ones. A List of all these house rules and more that I use are listed in my discord server

How Joe (Phoenix) creates a safe table
Players will find a link to my lines and veils document in the discord, we will have a brief session 0 before the game starts to go over any questions or concerns players may have about the game and we will also go over character builds. I use the X, N, & O's during the game and payers who have their video on can choose to either make an X, N, or O with their arms or just type in the chat.
