About the adventure
Learn to play in the world of Fallout: The Roleplaying Game by making your mark on the Mojave fifteen years before the doors of Vault 33 open for the first time! In this quest you and the others drawn to the mysterious and over grown Vault 22 will have to rescue a scientist trapped inside, travel to a nearby settlement, and end the adventure with a (all too literal) bang! Its a wild wasteland so feel free to craft your own character from a scrappy wasteland survivalist, an ancient robot gone mad enough to have a personality, the super mutant everyone in town talks about, to even one of the cursed immortal ghouls. Don't worry about who won the second battle for the Hoover Dam or what you're gonna do when Shady Sands reaches the end of its first season, maybe you and your new friends will be the ones to send both of those events wildly off course.

About me
I'm a queer GM with many hats! I have education mostly in computer science, creative writing, and asset creation. I enjoy creating community, memorable moments, and connections between people and the stories we make together. I've made a lot of long time friends out of players, some of whom I've helped coach into being my GMs! I love putting table top roleplaying game systems together like puzzles, guiding the players along my process until they can see the full picture of the system itself, and the story I've used to tell with it. To explain that a little bit; I see it as a challenge to show the players as many different aspects of whatever I'm running to them, to get a clear of a picture of the game as I can while also keeping everything coherent enough to be enjoyable. But if you need help writing your backstory, please keep in mind I love soap operas.

Creating your character
Character creation will happen at the beginning of the session, it happens in six simple steps, and all the needed materials will already be loaded within our Virtual Table Top program; Foundry. I'll also have some PDFs available for reference to assist in character creation as well. We'll be using the Core Rule Book, Settler's Guide Book, Wastelander's Guide Book, and Royal Flush's character options for character creation so that you'll be able to pick from one of twenty origins for your very own wasteland legend in the making! ☢️Brotherhood of Steel Outcast ☢️Ghoul ☢️Vault Dweller ☢️Super Mutant ☢️Mister Handy ☢️Survivor ☢️New Californian ☢️Securitron ☢️Enclave Remnant ☢️Institute Synth ☢️Child of Atom ☢️Follower of the Apocalypse ...and a few others!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players only need to join the Discord for us to be able to text/voice chat prior and during the game. Optionally they can set an avatar on https://reactive.fugi.tech/ they'd like to appear if the table as a whole opts to record the session, no face-cam at the table. Otherwise watch the Amazon show, play one of the games, or just day-dream about what you'd do if the world ended in a wave of nuclear fire!
What D@3D brings to the table
I provide voiced NPCs, an optional playlist to listen to while playing, and an atmosphere that promotes joining in on the fun! While I value the Rules As Written, I also like to indulge my players when a good chance comes up to give one of them the spotlight for a minute or two. During battles you'll either be using official maps from Modiphius or ones made by yours truly! Lets just hope you all survive long enough to appreciate them, because when things get tough, I like to turn up the tension to really make my players nervous. I also edit videos, at the start we'll discuss if we'll be recording our game, and if so I'll put some work on it, and send a compressed version your way when its finished! (YouTube uploads can also be discussed)
Homebrew rules
We'll be using all Rules As Written (RAW), with the understanding that we will discuss optional rules for both zones/movement and the survival mechanics so that newer players will be able to play the game more comfortably.

Safety
How D@3D creates a safe table
The beginning of the session will consist of a short 'Session 0' conversation where we'll go over the safety tools, content warnings, game mechanics, and how they all relate to the world of Fallout. During that conversation we'll also compose a Hard and Soft Boundaries/Lines and Veils document for possible reference later, and also discuss any optional rules or any topics that weren't covered yet. After the session we'll go over everything that happened, reminisce, and let the energy come down!
