About the adventure

Offically, you do not exist. For generations, the Red Ledger has been documenting the horrors that have happened across the eons. They were there when the first children of Caine descended upon the first city. Carrying the centuries of fear and rage onto tonight. Their tablets scratched upon with the tales of the monsters that consumed the night and has grown into a never ending archive of knowledge, the Ashkelon Archive. You are one of few that are chosen by the blood of Ashkelon to join the Red Ledger, the men and women who hunt the monsters that go bump in the night. Whether they all live or die, their names and actions are recorded in the never ending catacomb of information that not even most seniored members can completely remember. Each cell in an area is refered to as a chapter and its members Librarians or Keepers if you're more mystically savy. Together, they hunt and investigate the creatures that would be only myth or fantasy. They document, report, and collect samples of their victims. The S.A.D. goverment organization often contracts out to them work they themselves cannot handle. And even then, they do not share all of the details they uncover. ------------------------------------------------------ This chronicle explores the intricate horrors and death that occurs in the world of darkness behind the scenes from the wrestling with the beast that each monster battles with. Innocent people suffer and no one cares. When will it no longer be tolerable? When will you take up arms to defend the weak? The horror in this chronicle takes inspiration from the artistry of the Hannibal Tv Series and the grim darkness of the world view of rorschach. To truly bring out the inner hunter of you each.

About me

Welcome, storytellers, schemers, and seekers of strange worlds! I’m a GM with 7+ years of experience crafting immersive, character-driven stories across a wide variety of systems and settings. Whether you’re here for grimdark horror, noir intrigue, cosmic dread, or a chaotic romp through a world of wild adventure, I’ve got you covered. My greatest joy as a Game Master is creating a space where players feel empowered to shape the world and make bold, unforgettable choices. I’m deeply familiar with the World of Darkness in all its beautiful, brooding glory: Vampire, Mage, Hunter, Demon, Mummy, and more. From twisted political games in the night-haunted cities to the haunting path of the Fallen, I know the splats, the lore, and the mechanics inside and out. But that’s just the beginning. I also run: • Dungeons & Dragons (5e & 3.5) • Pathfinder (1e & 2e) • Mutants & Masterminds • Masks: A New Generation • Blades in the Dark • Call of Cthulhu • …and a wide range of other indie and mainstream systems. If you’re curious about a system not listed, just ask. Odds are, I’ve played it, run it, or I’m game to dive in and make it happen. Tone-wise, I have a strong love for dark, moody, and atmospheric stories, gothic horror, grim futures, supernatural conspiracies, but I’m just as comfortable with light-hearted adventures, heists, pulp action, or comedic fantasy. I’m flexible and love collaborating with players to hit the tone you want. Mechanically, I believe in the Rule of Cool. If the dice are grinding momentum to a halt, I’ll bend things to keep the story flowing. That said, I respect the system and know when to let mechanics shine. I’m patient, open to questions, and always happy to guide newer players or offer narrative tools to veterans looking to go deeper. My tables are collaborative, inclusive, and story-first. I’m big on session zero, safety tools, and making sure everyone’s voice matters, whether you’re a first-time player or a decades-long veteran. So if you’re looking for a GM who can: • Weave intricate plots with high stakes and rich lore • Pivot seamlessly between horror, humor, and heroism • Support your character’s personal journey while keeping the table engaged • And offer a professional, reliable, and player-focused experience. Then let’s tell a damn good story together.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation is fairly simple for this chonicle. You will utilize the hunters hunted 2 book for character creation. You will use the higher starting stat block for character creation. If you are a former ghoul, you cannot have any relation with your previous domitor. You will create a list of what you spent freebies on so it is easier to approve sheets. Session 0 will be revolving around character creation and team dynamics. You will be a slightly tenured hunter cell, which is why you get your higher traits at base. This is something of a detective and monster hunter game. Lean into that niche.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should prepare by having access to discord, posses a roll20 account and own a mic. Roll20 is more optional as we can do the entire session via discord alone. It is more so up to your preferences.

What Silas the Endless brings to the table

I will provide players with fitting music to capture the mood of a given scene/ the general darker tone of this chronicle. I will be going more cinematic with combat as I do not want it to be totally bogged down when mechics get clunky so get creative with how you'd like to approach a situation, hunters think on their feet.

Homebrew rules

There will be custom background for the organization similar to how hunters hunted 2 outlines.
