About the adventure
The blink gate to the Vọng Tinh system has reopened after centuries of silence. Officially, humanity has returned. Unofficially, no one is ready. You are pilots aboard the UAS Möelders, a Unity Authority Ship dispatched by Union’s Third Committee to re-establish contact, stabilize relations, and represent the ideals of a post-scarcity humanity at the edge of known space. Your arrival should have marked the peaceful return of Union authority. Instead, something went wrong. The jump damaged the Möelders beyond immediate repair, leaving the ship stranded in-system and its crew isolated among rival powers that have learned to survive without Union oversight. Corporate enclaves, militarized colonies, feudal rulers, independent miners, and hidden actors now compete for influence across Vọng Tinh. Each claims legitimacy. Each needs help. None fully trust the newcomers preaching cooperation and equality. With limited resources and no safe harbor, your squad becomes Union’s only functional presence. To repair your ship and rebuild authority, you will take contracts, answer distress calls, negotiate fragile alliances, and deploy your mechs wherever crisis erupts next. Every mission matters, but you cannot answer them all. Aid one world and another may fall into chaos. Support a faction too strongly and rivals may shut their doors to you. Protect struggling frontier workers for moral victory, or secure powerful allies who can offer lasting support at political cost. Vọng Tinh is a living system that reacts to your choices. Influence earned today shapes tomorrow’s opportunities, enemies, and battlefield advantages. This campaign is structured in episodic missions with ongoing consequences, blending tactical mech combat with exploration, diplomacy, and difficult decisions about what Union’s ideals truly mean on the frontier. This game welcomes complete beginners and experienced players alike. No prior knowledge of Lancer is required; rules and setting will be introduced naturally during play. Because the campaign unfolds as connected episodes rather than a fixed storyline, there is never a wrong time to join. New pilots can deploy as reinforcements, transfers, or newly assigned Union personnel at any stage of the story. Whether you want cinematic mech battles, meaningful choices, political intrigue, or the chance to shape an entire star system’s future, Vọng Tinh awaits. The Longing Star has called humanity back. What kind of future will you bring with you?

About me
Hi! I’m Kalle (or Aeon —both work). I’ve been telling stories at the table for close to 30 years, building worlds full of strange wonders, messy heroes, and just the right amount of chaos. Whether we’re exploring dark and moody city streets, laughing through a heist gone wrong, or chasing wild character arcs, I’m here for it. I love helping players make their big ideas sing—whether it’s crafting tangled backstories, scheming clever plans, or simply vibing in the world we create together. My games are inclusive, player-focused spaces where everyone gets a moment to shine.

Creating your character
Starting Characters start at LL0. Once the campaign started, players joining the campaign will start at the Licence Level of the other players.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
For my games you will need a discord account and desktop app (the website app is pretty broken), a relatively decent microphone and headphones (You would give us echo, using speakers). There is no account required for my foundry server. Access to the foundry server's game is generated by me. If you are a beginner to Lancer and/or Foundry: I'm more than happy to give you a tour to both, explain everything and if necessary give you recommended reading during session zero, so you can start into your first real session with a good feeling.
What Aeon / Kalle brings to the table
- More than 25 years of experience as a Game Master and player in tabletop rpgs. - This game is hosted on my own Foundry Server with 24/7 uptime, which in itself comes with lots of quality of life mods and more. - Foundry offers seamless Comp/Con integration (the Lancer character builder website) - A dedicated Discord server with a very friendly, helpful community to geek out with. - Access to all the information to build your character
Homebrew rules
Not Houserules per se, but deviating from standard play: - since the group is stranded in this system, access to licenses is not a problem, but access to some facilities will be gated through reserves. As in every Lancer game, your choices matter.

How Aeon / Kalle creates a safe table
Safe Place I consider my games to be a safe space to have fun in, away from the troubles of everyday life. As such i have a zero-tolerance policy towards the discussion of politics, harrasment, racism and anything against gender identity and LGTBQ+ culture. Everyone is welcome at my table as long as they respect everyone else at the table. It is that simple! Session Zero, Lines, Veils and Limits All my games launch with a Session Zero before they actually take off. In the Session Zero we discuss as a group what we want for the campaign (Alignment and goals of the group, powerlevels etc), then we discuss and set lines and veils as well as limits for each player indivially. Everything will be compiled in a document by me. If a player joins us at a later date, we will have the Session Zero on a one-to-one basis, where i will inform them about the current state of the document and if they would like to add to it. At the next session i will then inform all players about any changes to the Lines, Veils and Limits document. X, N and O Cards I have a raise hand and X card mod installed on foundry for easy use. Stars and Whishes and Open Door My door is always open for critique and I handle it very professionally. Never feel bad about communicating your wishes and critique to me. If you have issues with another player or their playstyle, please just contact me. I believe that most issues can be resolved just with communication. At the end of most session we do a stars and wishes round if requested. Breaks I have one scheduled break in the middle of the game, usually 5-10 minutes long. If a player needs a break, they can just pipe up in voice or chat and does not need to feel bad about it. RL happens to all of us! However the game usually continues (The others after all also paid for the game and want their money's worth out of a session!)
