About the adventure
As chaos rises, Hearthside needs help to rebuild and uncover what is causing the rise in monster attacks. Each session can be enjoyed as a stand-alone adventure. Players will get to choose from a quest board to help the city rebuild and gain the strength to fight back against evil! This is a drop-in, drop-out community-based campaign of connected one-shot adventures. There are multiple parties in this campaign, and their actions will affect the world as a whole. Explore and learn from past adventurers to make informed decisions. Returning players will soon discover clues and connect the dots as to what is causing the chaos beyond the walls... Join our Discord server to meet other parties, read reports, and share stories! Being a part of the guild is free! What will players expect from this campaign? -Challenge. This game can be difficult based on the decisions the party makes. Death is a real possibility, allowing players to be resourceful and strategic. Not every creature has to be killed to succeed. -Exploration of the world. Discover historical landmarks, magical caverns, treasure coves, and so much more! -Player Agency. Choices matter in this world. Players will face difficult decisions that will affect the world as a whole. -Rebuilding a Community. As players progress, the city will grow. This allows for more players to join under veteran adventurers, or to unlock unique parts of the town like the Guild Armory (A storage where players share unique and strong magical items) -FREE SESSION 0! This will be before the campaign starts and is free to ensure that it is the right fit. We will review the basis of the campaign and discuss any specific needs in the adventure.

About me
Hey there! My name is Jacob, aka DM Sinchi. I have been DMing for over 5 years, while evolving my skills in storytelling and world-building by integrating players’ interests. I pride myself on creating immersive scenarios with dynamic combat encounters and out-of-the-box solutions. I run homebrew worlds/campaigns using dnd 5e 2014/2024 rule sets. The homebrew worlds are created with the player’s input, so each campaign is uniquely its own. I work a lot with new players and beginners. This is a safe space, and I love to teach those who are interested but might be afraid to join. My tables are always 🏳️🌈LGBTQ+ BIPOC friendly.

Creating your character
Before the campaign begins, we will have a Session 0 to lay the foundation for our story and ensure everyone is on the same page. This is where we will: Create Characters Together. We will pick character builds, help players with the rules, and create a narrative story for each PC to have the motive to work together. Set Expectations: We will discuss the basis of the campaign. Also include what players want in the world. Do you want to explore more dungeons? Fight intense boss battles? Or build connections that stretch across the lands? This is the time to share those ideals, as they will become a part of the story. Character Creation will be hosted on D&D Beyond. ⚔️Create a level 2 character (No homebrew content) ⚔️Use standard or point buy for your stats ⚔️Start the game with any 1 uncommon magic item of your choice, subject to DM approval.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
1.) Have a D&D Beyond account (www.dndbeyond.com/create-account) 2.) Download Chrome extension "Above VTT." This will allow you to access the maps for combat encounters! 3.) Join the Discord (https://discord.gg/gHVgEnXEe9) and introduce yourself! Im sinchi05 4.) Have a working pair of headphones & microphone and test the connection. No speaker due to echoes. 5.) Be familiar with DND Beyond Character Creation page.
What Sinchi brings to the table
As your DM, my goal is to provide the space for your party to make its mark on Hearthside's World. You can expect great storytelling, unique challenges, tough combat, and room for characters to make decisions that will change the world. Combat & Tactics: With access to AboveVTT, we will utilize cool battle maps that allow players to visualize strategic positioning, environment interaction, and exploration. Tools: When connecting to the D&D Campaign, you will have full access to materials via DNDBeyond. Rules & Flexibility: I respect the rules and run them fairly. However, I am always for Rule of Cool... As long as you can make a logical argument! If you pitch me a wild but awesome idea AND have the plan to do it, I’ll work with you to make it happen. Creativity and fun always come first.

Critical hits= Max damage + Roll + Modifier Potions as a bonus action (rolling) or Full benefit when using an action Exhaustion level increases after hitting 0 health.

How Sinchi creates a safe table
Player safety is very important! D&D Is about having fun, and we can only fun if you feel safe. -X, N, & O cards can be visual, messaged, or communicated in any way that is convenient and clear. -I am always happy to adjust the session if the particular topic is difficult or uncomfortable. There is never judgment, but acceptance and encouragement. -I am always happy to discuss sessions afterwards to understand what you enjoyed, disliked, and what you wish could be different to make games more enjoyable. Sexual Abuse or harassment is never tolerated at the table.
