About the adventure
In the city of Grayhawkins there is some trouble a brewing, and the people need you, a heroic group of adventurers to set the course for helping them. In this adventure, where we will keep playing until we reach level three, I will teach you not only how to play, but how to dm as well. I will show you the various tools on Roll20, Owlbear Rodeo, and DndBeyond. (I do pay to use the benefits of Roll20 and Dndbeyond's accounts, so I do have more access to their full toolsets. ) I will show you how I do safety tools at the table. And I will also share my screen. For those who only have one monitor, I would suggest using your phone for discord to see what I'm doing and your laptop or pc to play the game. We will be using all three various VTT for this one shot. I figure, first level, we use Roll20. This is the application I've used to play/dm the most. And I have the most knowledge in. The second will be used on Owlbear Rodeo. I just started using this one, and I like it so far, even using the free service, this part will be fun. The third levels, which are two different dungeons, the first third level will be in dndbeyond VTT and for the second, just for good measure, we will go back to Roll20 for the last dungeon. I will share how to and advice on dming. I decided to come up with this one shot idea because I keep seeing requests from people who want a one shot that helps them learn rules. I thought, well, shoot, I have a lot of experience with tools and dming, so let me share that. And the added bonus of getting to play and having a good time, we will be an added treat. I have always wanted to dm a really long session, so I have to admit, this will be eight hours, with a thirty minute lunch and breaks as the party deems fit. If this sounds excellent to you, feel free to join.

About me
I enjoy playing dnd, have since I was a young girl, and started playing dnd again a bit when I was nineteen. When the pandemic started, I decided to look for one thing that I could do online...play dnd. I've been playing 5th edition rather consistently since then. Have completed three campaigns, and one of those was one I dmed for my friends. I decided to start dming professionally after hearing my friend and several other dm's at Dragon Con, about professional dming. I am currently dming a module campaign of Candlekeep with my own characters added and own story woven into the background of the game. I plan on seeking out other games that I am interested in and possibly dming them in the future; Call of Cthulu, Dragon Age, Doctor Who, and a few more. If your curious about my dm style, I love to role play it out and I do love combat. Not so much murder hoboing it out, but some times, it could get a little heavy with combat. My NPC's have backstories, and most of them are romancable but that means rolling some percentage die and taking risks...as we all do in love. My players have said that my games are a fair variety with a mix of laughs and good times.

Creating your character
Pre generated characters will include ones from the show, that are made through the module and came from the campaign. But in case we have more than a few extra people, I will extend that BG 3 pre generated characters as well as premade from dndbeyonds website.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Make sure to take notes. Have a Discord, Dndbeyond, Owlbear rodeo and Roll20.
What Jess brings to the table
I'm gonna bring my skills, my information, share tips, and help teach a basic foundation of dming. If time allows, I might let someone practice. I embrace the rule of cool while embracing raw. I will define which is which when I do so.
