About the adventure

Welcome to Avalon, a powerful guild of artificers, wizards, and sorcerers who have revolutionized access to the Weave. Through intricate networks of enchanted mythril cables, Avalon has made spellcasting accessible to all, whether you’re a trained arcanist or a brute with a big sword. You are joining at a remote branch of the guild in a batch of new recruits, some are spell weavers, some security agents, some even healers. All are welcome. But something is going wrong, spells are activating spontaneously and Avalon property is going missing. Is someone hacking the system? Are people stealing arcano-tech? Whatever it is, it's your job to stop it before it unravels everything Avalon has built. And, uncover secrets Avalon doesn't want getting out. This is the first part in a two part campaign, though it is complete on its own. This campaign is completely home-brewed so there are no source materials that may help you prepare for this adventure.

About me

Greetings, adventurers! I'm Alex, a passionate Game Master with years of experience weaving tales of heroism, mystery, and epic quests. My journey began with DnD, and since then, I've been dedicated to crafting immersive worlds where every player's decision shapes the story. The things I value most in games are creativity and cooperation. I love creating worlds, campaigns, characters, and items. Sometimes that's finding something cool online, making a twist on a classic, or completely home-brewing something, and I always want to encourage the same creativity in players! The thing that brings it all together, though, is cooperation and using your unique creations to help further the goals of everyone. Beyond the game, I think it's important to create a polite and cooperative atmosphere. My sessions revolve around open communication and safety tools to make sure everyone is at ease and involved. Let's set out on an adventure where your choices echo through the ages, and unforgettable stories are forged together.

Character creation

Creating your character

This is a completely home-brewed campaign so there are no books or reference material for it. Characters should start at level 1 and should progress to between level 8-10 by the end of the campaign. Since this is a homebrewed world we’ll have a session zero to go over character creation and specific parts of backstory.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Discord with a mic are the only hard requirements.

What Alex Wachowski brings to the table

As a GM I do my best to provide an immersive atmosphere to my games. This includes: My best attempt at voices Detailed battle maps Musical ambience and a lively and fleshed out world to play in.

Homebrew rules

While the campaign is home-brewed the rules stay pretty much the same. with the exceptions of: potions as a bonus action Rule of cool: tell me how you want to do something in a cool way (the more cinematic the better) and I'll do my best to make sure it happens. whether that's advantage, help, or letting you do extra damage.

Safety

How Alex Wachowski creates a safe table

Hard and soft limits can either be discussed in a session zero or at the beginning of the first session. Similarly after the game, we can cooldown and discuss what we liked and didn't like and if anything needs to be changed for a players needs.
