About the adventure
You knew before it even hit the papers, and you're quite certain she didn't go peacefully. While they weren't keen on divulging the details, you've not been able to stop dreaming about it. The shadows... the colours... the screams... have tormented you for the past three nights. Will you join in mourning, to have closure? Will your nightmares surrounding her finally stop once you do? In any case, you are invited to attend the viewing at Lawson Funeral Home in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Rest in peace Ms. Agnes Porter (1845-1924), for your sake... and for ours...

About me
With nearly a decade of GM experience across multiple systems, I live to craft stories that leave a lasting mark. I am a proud forever-GM and would not have it any other way. My focus is creating worlds that feel alive and truly belong to you, the players. While I run pre-written modules and established settings, homebrew is where I shine. I build rich, digestible worlds that let players shape the story without being boxed in by decades of pre-existing lore or certain tropes. I currently have several homebrew settings ready to explore in D&D 5e (2014), Call of Cthulhu, SW5e, and Kids on Bikes, along with a wide selection of modules. Whether you want something familiar or a world entirely your own, the adventure is ours to create together.

Creating your character
I have 8 premade custom character sheets to choose from. If you'd like to make your own, message me in advance so I can get you started!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need two things: 1. Roll20 to access your character sheet and the virtual table top. 2. Discord, to join my server for the video chat!
What Luke brings to the table
If you're playing Call of Cthulhu, I assume you'll want to be absolutely terrified, live through mind-bending situations, and try to survive with some of your sanity in tact! The music will be eerie, the voices will be chilling, the combat will be deadly. This game will be run primarily Rules as Written, but there's always room for the Rule of Cool. Never hate the shenanigan hustle.
Homebrew rules
We'll be using the optional rule to use Luck during combat.

How Luke creates a safe table
Up top, we'll have a speed-run Session 0 for introductions, game mechanics, and safety tools (~5 minutes). We will have 2 breaks throughout the session, each lasting 5 minutes. During the game, we will use the X, N, and O card tool (both through video or through private message if you'd like to stay anonymous about it). The list of content warnings is extensive and covers everything that even has the potential of showing up in our game. Finally, we will have a short debrief at the end of the session, to re-center ourselves in reality after your characters' realities have been shattered forever.
