About the adventure
Welcome to Starfinder 2nd Edition! This one-shot is designed as an introduction to the system, learning the rules as you play. The game is run on foundry VTT hosted through forge, and pregenerated characters are provided, but not required. I will make myself available for any player that would like to fully create their character before the game starts. The game will be low stakes but high energy, my goal is to teach players the system and to encourage them to thrive and to tell a grand tale of a ship takeover together.

About me
I'm an Aspiring Game Designer and Pixel Artist with a long time love of ttrpgs! I started playing at 8 years old in Changeling the Dreaming, and started GMing in high school with Pathfinder 1st edition. I'm a queer friendly agender games master with a love of expressing characters through mechanics and level and map designs! I fully believe that a rich detailed world inspires rich detailed characters. Although I would describe myself as combat oriented GM, a good meaningful combat means investing in the characters even outside of the mechanics, and doing nothing but combat all the time doesn't make for the most engaging campaign.

Creating your character
There are four pregenerated characters available for the one-shot, but players are more than welcome to either change the descriptions of the pregenerated characters or to make their own! If you wish to make your own, I will make sure to be available before sessions starts to assist in making them! Additional rules for the system can be found at https://2e.aonsrd.com/
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Make sure to have a discord account before the session is ready. A discord link will be provided when all players are gathered. Make sure you have a computer and browser capable of running Forge.
What Gray brings to the table
A forge link will be available on the discord server. The premade module for Battle for Nova Rush comes included with sounds, maps, tokens, and automation for the players. I can provide token art for player characters and extensive rules knowledge. For the purposes of the learning experience, I will largely run rules as written, but you have the freedom in how you describe your actions, your equipment, and your character outside of the mechanics of the game. If you want to play your android as a semisolid hologram, as long as they function mechanically as an android you are free to describe your character as a hologram, for example. Uncommon and rarer options are not allowed by default and must be discussed with me before the session begins. In addition, large or larger player characters will not be allowed, due to map limitations. Again, though, if you wish to describe your PC as notably big, you are free to do so, and many ancestries that are large by default have options that make you medium.

How Gray creates a safe table
We will go over any soft and hard lines before the session and reaffirm them at the beginning of the session. My messages will be open for any concerns they'd like to keep private. Any player can type X, send an X emote, or use the foundry provided x-card module at any moment in the campaign to immediately shut down any safety or other concerns.
