About me
I've been playing RPGs for 45 years. I started out with the red box D&D boxed set and just soared to every game I could play after that. Most of that time, I've been a game master and have designed worlds and run out of the box stuff too. I started using Roll20 to run games in 2014. I've run over 130 games and have clocked over 8,000 hours. I've organized online gaming conventions and have run pay-to-play games extensively the last few years. I specialize in D&D5e games with a gift for horror games. As an avid gamer I'm learning new games all the time and have started to learn the Savage Worlds system. I'm a former U.S. marine, lumberjack, underwater welder, and network engineer. I'm going back to school to become a paralegal and have decided to put my experience to good use and run some games for you kind folks. Looking forward to seeing you in the next game.

Creating your character
There will be a session zero on Discord before the game starts (no charge), and I will also meet individually with players if they need guidance or have questions. Once we have three players, we can start the game. Character generation will be in Roll20, with no D&D Beyond character sheets. You can use a standard array or 27-pt buy for abilities. Each character will start with one bonus feat at the first level as long as they meet the prerequisites, so humans start with two feats. Any class or race can be used from any of the published books for D&D5e. Each character will start with double the max gold for their class and will be living in the crime family's home, paying no rent. Leveling will be event-based, with new characters picking up at the level of the current party. Players will have access to all of the current core rulebooks for D&D5e and be able to transfer characters into game if they so choose.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a fairly fast desktop or laptop and mic, along with a membership to Roll20. I have a pro membership so I have all the bells and buzzers needed for a great game. Message me about character generation at your whim with any questions, or you can join the private discord channel that I use for all my games to get a hold of me. Good luck.
What Eric C brings to the table
Hey All, First, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you find the game you're looking for. This game will be run with high-action content from a fantasy city theme perspective, so there will be chase scenes, swashbuckling, and crime. I stick to the rules but like to let players bend them to add to the role-play experience. I use lots of npc voices, background music, and Roll20 effects. My style is what the party likes, but I generally do about 50/50 rp and combat. I also highly intergrate character backgrounds into the campaign to give each player a personal journey into the adventures they undergo. The game will be in the city of Waterdeep and party will be members of a crime family.
