About the adventure

Delta Green is a game about the slow, grinding indifference of the modern world, the trauma of sacrifice, the fragility of human bonds, and the degree to which we are all disposable beneath the crushing hands of bureaucratic systems. And also cosmic horrors. If you like spy fiction, weird horror, Twin Peaks, the X-Files, True Detective, Fringe, Mindhunter, Dark, Arrival, or stories about ordinary people facing the Terrible-Unspeakable-Truth-of-the-World-Bubbling-Below-the-Surface-of-Mundane-Existence and sacrificing their sanity, their relationships, and maybe their lives to protect civilians from even glimpsing such horrors...Delta Green is the game for you. In this introductory scenario set in the early 2000s, players will take on the roles of novice Delta Green agents: operatives of a clandestine (and almost certainly illegal) para-governmental organization (or conspiracy, depending on who you ask) whose mission is to protect the public from knowledge of unimaginable, unnatural terrors. You might play a sci-fi writer whose only true love is her cat, an FBI Agent estranged from his family, an academic obsessed with cults, a conspiracy theorist vlogger trying to make ends meet, a world class heart surgeon with insomnia and an aloof preteen kid, or any number of other professional types who have encountered Things Man Was Not Meant to Know--and lived to get inducted into the Delta Green organization. This particular scenario is a standard cleanup mission: a former Delta Green agent has died, and you are to enter his home and remove any evidence of the program's existence and of his involvement with it. Should anything unnatural be uncovered at the scene, your job is to eliminate it or contain it to prevent its influence from spreading.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will keep things light and breezy for this session to focus on learning the Delta Green game system itself. You'll only need: - a working internet connection and microphone - a free Discord account for voice chatting and sharing images. That's it!

What Dr. Nah brings to the table

I'll walk you through the basic rules and premises of the game, voice major NPCs, maybe provide a bit of ambient music for mood, and make sure everyone leaves the session ready to play more Delta Green or even run a game on their own!

Homebrew rules

This game will emphasize rules as written, but I may suggest some custom possibilities or slightly finesse/expedite the narrative to fit our whole story into the 2-3 hour time window.
