About the adventure
-Roleplay heavy, Combat negotiable campaign. -Semi-Intermediate Level game, not recommended for beginners -Milestone Leveling -Custom courses/extra curriculars/jobs -Open to increase or decrease in combat difficulty/frequency depending on party preferences. This is a light-hearted module, centered around the gathering of friends, knowledge, and a bitter revenge scheme. As you spend time at Strixhaven, you will cultivate knowledge, friends, and strength all while inexplicable happenings seem to stalk you through the campus. Violent costume chests in the Library, rampaging creatures at your favorite cafe, food foul enough to kill at the local pub. And all this just the tip of the iceberg. With the numerous courses found at Strixhaven, you can mold yourself into who you always wished to be. And not just magics either, but the true focus of Strixhaven is the things we can apply our Magics to. Theater. War. History. Food. The teachings of our Gods. The choices are nearly limitless. And yours to make. This module offers optional custom rules for the classes you take, giving benefits to the every day school life in the form of student dice which can be added to skill checks relevant to the course. Whether you study or cheat your way through, reap the rewards of your efforts beyond a gold star sticker. And even more benefits to the classes them selves, customized to your character's needs and interests as we play. And don't worry, I don't mean lectures. Interested in the social side of your experience here? I should hope so, because with the Boons and Banes system, every conversation you have can hold sway on your life here. For the right friends can help in ways you'd never expect. From a free concert ticket, to holding influence among the faculty, or even just someone you can rely on. The right friend in the right place can make everything easier. But be careful. Tread on the wrong toes, and you might start feeling like people have it out for you... And all the while as you go through your days, from the tedium of school work to the excitement of the diverse culture and sprawling town and campus, a looming darkness seems to be trying to destroy the peace you have come to love. Incident after incident, each more dire than the last. As though someone needs everything to come tumbling down. What could someone hope to achieve sowing all this chaos? And why now? Why your year when you've waited so long to be here? Are you going to sit back and hope things come to a stop? Or will you step up when no one else does? And what on Archavios is this nasty black sludge you keep finding? All these answers and more await you. For what is a school for, if not teach you what you need. Come, join us on this adventure into Academics and Action as we seek to save Strixhaven from its most challenging question yet: Who would want to see it all end?

About me
------------------------------ "Greetings Adventurers, and am I glad to see you! You see, I have these adventures here, and they are in dire need of some main characters to... stir the pot so to speak. So what do you think? Interested on discovering some new worlds today? Or perhaps you're looking to visit some old familiar places? There will be plenty to chose. So come and sit. There's always an empty seat at my table for you, and the company is grand and waiting!" ------------------------------ Hello everyone, I go by Conri. I will running Modules, Homebrew worlds, and one shot or mini campaigns here through a combination of my Discord Server, and my Foundry VTT server. I've been DM'ing for several years now, and playing for much longer. I consider my knowledge to be Intermediate, as are my skills as a DM. I have a slightly loose structure when it comes to DMing, even when running modules. Rule of Cool is used at this table, as long as it can still fall in the realm of "reality", and am known to change things up when it seems people are just running through the motions or getting bored. I hope to see you there, and safe travels on your Journey!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation is intended to happen at Session 0. I'm aware people will come in with the intention to run a certain character and thats fully ok, but finalization shall wait until session 0 when we discuss expectations, character concepts and backgrounds, and intentions. Stat rolls will be done together at session 0. Anyone joining late will get to roll their stats when we do our 1-on-1 onboarding call. Stats will be rolled in the VTT, 46d drop. 3 Sets pick your preferred. Characters will be created on DndBeyond, and all source materials will be made available there. If there is anything outside the sources I provide you wish to use, please discuss with me beforehand as anything else is considered banned.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Games shall be hosted and require accounts for both Discord and DndBeyond. We will be using DnDBeyond for both VTT and Characters, and I will be sharing most of my source materials with you through the campaign on Beyond. To play: -First join Discord through the provided link, and introduce yourself there. -Second join the campaign through the provided link. You are free to begin your character concept, however nothing is final until session 0/onboarding. -Third, read up on Strixhaven History and the different Campuses. Strixhaven is a sprawling and diverse school with almost limitless options. Most students going there know most things about the school and it will not be considered meta to have knowledge of its workings and ideals and even quirks. -Fourth, spend some time thinking about what you want the future of your character to be. What is their school plan? What brought them to Strixhaven in the first place? Why do they need to study magic? What do they want to study? Do they know what they are gonna graduate as or do they plan on letting the school mold them? Do they have one of the 5 colleges picked out already or do they need to spend their first year finding themselves?
What Conri brings to the table
My GM style is a very Story-centric style. I will do my best to utilize my characters and activities to weave your PCs into the world. This module is very Roleplay focused, and I will be doing my best to bring these characters I have come to love to life. Through a combination of pictures, voices and music selection I hope to make each scene unique and fun. Plan on plenty of conversation with NPC's, but dont count the combat out yet. There is plenty that can go wrong in a school full of Magical Aspirants. And plenty that will. As I said before the scale of Combat is something we can talk about, but rest assured your prowess will be tested. I will offer customized courses, hobbies, job and relationship opportunities to each of you as we work on surviving a not so normal school life. We will take time to talk about it in length. And don't worry, I don't have any intention to allow it to become a monotonous school simulation. Classes will offer unique opportunities to gain resources, knowledge and other advantages for challenges to come beyond the modules boon/bane and student dice system. There will be plenty of downtime activities and encounters, and possibly even a tasteful romance or two. The options are only stopped by your own desires.

How Conri creates a safe table
We will spend time during Session 0 going through my linked rules document, and tailoring content limitations to the party. I seek to ensure everyone has fun and no one is left uncomfortable at my table. That being said, this is expected to be a table of Adults, and some adult themes may occur. Please speak up if you feel bothered by anything. I cannot accommodate what I don't know.
