About the adventure
An unnatural winter has settled over the remote frontier of Icewind Dale, where isolated towns cling to survival in a land of howling winds, endless night, and creeping dread. Trade has slowed, resources are scarce, and the people are growing fearful as strange rumors and unsettling events ripple through the Ten-Towns. This campaign is about enduring the cold, protecting fragile communities, and uncovering what lies hidden beneath the snow, all while deciding what kind of heroes you want to be in a place where hope is hard to come by. This game is ideal for players who enjoy a mix of survival, mystery, and exploration. Expect dangerous wilderness travel, tense social encounters in tight-knit towns, and moments of creeping horror alongside classic D&D adventure. Combat will matter, but so will preparation, problem-solving, and the choices you make when resources are limited and every risk has consequences. The tone leans gritty and atmospheric, but there will still be room for heroism, camaraderie, and the occasional warmth in an otherwise unforgiving land. My style as a GM focuses on player-driven storytelling and meaningful choices. I like to present situations rather than scripted outcomes. Your decisions will shape how the towns respond to you, what allies you gain, and what dangers you face. Expect a balance of roleplay, exploration, and combat, with an emphasis on immersion and character moments. You don’t need to be an expert roleplayer, but being willing to engage with the world and your fellow players will make the experience richer for everyone. This campaign is a great fit for players who enjoy darker fantasy, survival themes, and uncovering secrets at their own pace. New and experienced players are both welcome. I am happy to guide newer players through the rules and the setting, while still offering depth and meaningful challenges for veterans. If you are excited by the idea of carving out hope in a frozen, isolated world, and seeing how your character changes under pressure, this game is for you.

About me
Hello! I am GoldenSpider, you may call me gold, spider, spidey, whatever you prefer really. I am a 27-year old Male living in the Midwest US. I've been playing and DM/GMing games for 10 years. I love TTRPGs and nerd culture in general, from MCU to Star Trek, Last of Us to Sid Meier's Civilization. As a DM/GM I bring an intricate and expansive experience, custom made for you the player. with Custom and detailed worlds, NPCs, and plot hooks designed for your backstories. I also bring detailed and professional maps, some created myself and some also from professional map makers that I have paid for. You will also be getting professional quality music. I've spent over hundreds of dollars out of my own pocket for TTRPGs, and that was before I ever considered being a "professional" or "paid-for" GM. I just love the game that much!
