About the adventure
My goal is to assemble a group of players that have time to play in the listed block of time for this game and let them vote on the content I have available. Everything in this list is content that I own on D&D Beyond and will utilize that service for character creation and management and the Maps VTT. I will hold a session 0 in which I briefly describe each setting and will then put up a poll in the Discord server for voting. An important caveat is that if you're signing up for this game then you are agreeing that no matter which setting is chosen, you are OK with that choice and want to play. We don't want to waste anyone's time by getting folks who back out because their setting wasn't voted for during the poll. For this campaign, any player that signs up will be voting on which setting they want to play from the following options (in no particular order): * Journey Through the Radiant Citadel - An enormous city in the Ethereal plan that lies between realms that will be home to a variety of adventures that explore some mythologies that exist in our culture. Each adventure in the city was written by an author who based it on real world mythology. * Dragon of Icespire Peak (and subsequent modules) - Dragon of Icespire peak is the first in a series of four modules in a story arc that can also be the introduction to nearly any other campaign setting for long term continuation. * Spelljammer - Staring with Spelljammer Academy and transitioning into Light of Xyraxis, players will start as a level 1 cadet in Spelljammer academy and embark on an adventure through Wildspace that can lead to endless possibilities. * Dragonlance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen - Set on the planet of Krynn, players are part in a war with the Dragon Queen as the power of the Gods and magic return. * Obojima: Tales from the Tall Grass - A whimsical adventure inspired by Studio Ghibli and The Legend of Zelda. Obojima is very lighthearted and written so that any situation has a resolution that doesn't require combat to resolve.

About me
I've been a D&D player since the days of 3.5 and returned to the game in 2023 and learned 5e. I've ran many one-shots for D&D, Bunkers and Badasses, and Obojima. I've also been in a Pathfinder 2e game campaign for nearly two years now. I started GM-ing as a volunteer at a local game store and loved doing it so much that I applied to become a professional GM with them and after an audition they hired me on. I started my professional GM career in 2025 and can't wait to broaden my horizons. I'm currently running an ongoing Dragonlance 5e campaign, paid one-shots, community volunteer one-shots, and an Obojima campaign for my friends and family. I own a license for Foundry VTT and host my own server. I have a considerable library of content on D&D Beyond and have been recently running games on their Maps VTT. I've been a Discord user since it's first year in service and have hosted and participated in live and play via post games. I'd also be willing to learn to use another platforms (i.e. Roll20, Mirrorscape, Owlbear Rodeo) if necessary. I'm eager to branch out on my professional GM career and hope that I can bring joy to your table.

Creating your character
Once we have decided the setting, we will move on to character creation, and I will enable the content sharing for all relevant materials. This will give you access to all subclasses, races, and reference materials you need to create your character. We will start all characters at level 1 using Standard Array. Characters will be created from not only the PHB and DMG, but also Tasha's Guide to Everything, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Monsters of the Multiverse, and whichever source book is chosen. If a player wants to play a race or class outside of those sources, we will consult to see if it's a viable option.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need free accounts on D&D Beyond and Discord. Both services have paid tiers but that paid tiers are NOT required to participate. D&D Beyond will be used for character creation, character management, reference materials, and the VTT (virtual tabletop). Discord will be used for all voice, text, and (if necessary) video communications. I will also integrate D&D Beyond's Discord bot Avrae.
What Travis Sluss brings to the table
I will provide all the shared content from D&D Beyond including source material required to roll up a character, maps for the VTT, and the Discord server. I am a pretty laid-back GM. I view my as more of a "Game Manager" than "Game Master". My job is to help all of you tell your stories and have fun while doing it. If we're doing that, then everything else falls into place. I lean on the "Rule-of-Cool" (RoC) from time to time because I want to keep the game flowing smoothly. If there is a concern that needs to be addressed immediately then we will but for the most part these situations will be handled during a break or time before or after a session. I'm not a rules lawyer, I don't lean heavily into tactics or combat min/maxing. While combat will definitely happen (Obojima as an exception) my focus is not to wipe the party and I'll do all I can to help you survive.

How Travis Sluss creates a safe table
I will adhere to the safety tools selected in this listing and to the standards set forth by StartPlaying. No matter which campaign choice is selected, I will avoid topics that are sensitive to a player if they feel uncomfortable. I have selected a few content warnings but no matter which setting is chosen the content will be adjusted to the comfort of the table.
