Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi! I'm Ethan. I've been playing 5e as my IRL groups' forever DM for a few years now, but must feed my growing addiction. I look forward to facilitating your various shenanigans one day, and inspiring dread the next. To help with that, I bring my ever growing collection of Kickstarted options from people much better at balancing than me.

Creating your character
All players will have a free session 0 where we will go over character creation, with the options to create their own characters from scratch or choose a premade character from a list of options. Starting level shall be level 1, and source books will be provided.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Games will be run on AlchemyVTT for the maps and character sheets, and Discord for audio. Free accounts for both are required. For character creation, a free account for DnD Beyond can be used for player browsing, but is not required.
What Ethan brings to the table
I bring a mixture of roleplay, character voices, and some tactical combat to immerse yourself in the world and care for the characters you make. I compliment this with music, art, and battle maps to bring as much bang to your buck as possible. While I mostly stick to Rules as Written, I think it's important to flex those rules when the narrative needs. If you think of a creative solution or a cool combat maneuver, chances are high I'll let you give it a try.

Safety
How Ethan creates a safe table
AlchemyVTT has safety tools built in to the player accounts. Lines and Veils are set on a per account basis, and are added to the game automatically when they join so I am informed of topics to avoid. The X card system is implemented in game, and all safety systems will be explained for people that do not know about them in Session 0.
