About the adventure
Pendragon is set in a mythical version of Dark Ages Britain. It is a unique synthesis of centuries of Arthurian tales, a vision of history informed by medieval scholars and troubadours, by Sir Thomas Malory and Edmund Spenser, by Romantic novelists like Tennyson, and by more contemporary visions from popular literature and cinema. Imagine that is the Year of Our Lord 509. Britain is a large, verdant island surrounded by turbulent seas and consisting of five geographic regions: The North beyond Hadrian's Wall, Cambria and Cornwall to the west and south, respectively, Cumbria in the middle, and Logres to the south-east. Some smaller islands sit off its coast, and the big island of Ireland lies just to the west. Britain is riddled with many navigable streams and rivers, and its coasts boast many fine natural harbors. Much of the land is hilly and covered in dense, ancient forests, some rumored to be haunted. Deadly beasts, like the fierce British lions and panthers, have kept the woods dangerous, even where crumbling old Roman roads cross them. Deeper into the heartwoods and marshes live dragons whose occasional sallies wreak terrible havoc upon nearby settlements. Other portions of the forest are set aside as hunting grounds for kings and their followers, who fight monsters more than they fear them. Pendragon Britain is a land of adventure and danger, of scheming lords and ambitious ladies, of great passions and glorious deeds, of mysterious castles and strange, hidden kingdoms, and of savage beasts lurking in shadowy green woods. It is a fabled realm waiting for you to explore. The Brand new version of a classic game, from the great Greg Stafford, one of TTRPG's best ever game designers. Pendragon is a fairly intuitive system, and as such is pretty easy to learn. You owe it to yourself to give Pendragon a try!

Hi, I’m Elwood, a veteran RPG player and GM. I have always seen my role as a GM is to keep all my players (entertained and engaged. I have plenty of experience dealing with players entirely new to the hobby, so, you will be in a safe pair of hands if you are just starting out with ttrpg’s or if you have just simply never played any of the games I offer before. Creating your character
You will not need to understand character creation before turning up, as pre-generated characters can be provided. However, if you wish to create your own Character, that is also fine. It is definitely a fun and unique experience.
Everyone will play a knight, or Squire [hoping to become a knight], of either gender. The question is, ‘what kind of knight will your character become?’

How Elwood creates a safe table
As this is a learn to play, I expect to provide Pregenerated characters and get to playing an adventure quickly. I will focus on gameplay, and explaining what the core activities and goals of playing Pendragon are. Character generation is not included here, though i will give some guidance.
