About the adventure
If you are looking to learn Pathfinder 2nd edition this is the place for you. Whether your an experienced TTRPG player or brand new, learn the basics of character creation, creating backstories, combat and roleplaying in Pathfinder. This campaign is geared towards new players starting at level 1 and will go as long as the party wants! It will be run virtually through the program Foundry VTT, which as a player is completely free! All the material you might need for making characters and looking up rules are also free online, which makes Pathfinder the perfect for people who are looking to test the waters of the system or table top role playing games more generally. I will personally walk each player through the process of character creation and learning the system. As an open-ended campaign you will be able to explore the rich setting to your hearts content. Wherever the party wants to explore, we'll go there. We'll be starting in the grand city of Absalom as new recruits to the pathfinder society, an organization dedicated to exploring the unknown. After a brief, introduction the party will be sent out on a grand adventure to the farthest reaches of the world. This game will include a short free one-on-one meeting were I'll go over what to expect so you'll know what to expect and if you want to commit. Come learn Pathfinder and explore the world of Golarion!

About me
Hi I'm Kaleb, I'm a amateur but experienced DM looking to extend my love of all TTRPGs to others. I've been playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and Pathfinder since middle school. I love games in all forms but mostly love to homebrew my own settings for players to explore with me! If you like fun voices, a fair bit of homebrew, and a more casual environment for any kind of campaign then I'm the DM for you!

Creating your character
Character creation will be done during the first session. However there will be a free one-on-one meeting with me prior to starting that will go over the basics of the system and creating a loose template for the character you want to make! Then during the first session the whole group will run through how to make a character and the rules of pathfinder in depth. All information for Pathfinder 2nd edition can be found, for free, at https://2e.aonprd.com/
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need access to Discord as most of the campaign planning and meeting will happen through there. Other than that, all you'll need is a microphone and internet access as this campaign will be run on Foundry VTT. To prepare for the one-on-one meeting, I only ask that you come prepared with at least one idea for a character and let me know what all you know about Pathfinder and/or games like Dungeon & Dragons so I can tailor my approach to you!
What DMK brings to the table
A bit about me! I have an extremely improvisational style to running my games, and typically try and balance role playing and tactical combat. I default to the rules in the game but like to encourage players to get creative. If it isn't in the rules, that doesn't mean I won't allow it. To help my players I often reward roleplaying the characters, even if it get them in trouble, and prioritize the story the players want to tell over a strict path. You can also expect a variety of character voices and ambient music streamed during the sessions. Expect your choices and actions to mater as I heavily emphasize non-player characters that act like real people.
Homebrew rules
The primary rule I like to use is Hero Points for roleplaying. If you role play your character as you've listed in character creation, you'll be rewarded with Hero Points which you can use to re-roll failures and become a great hero (or villain).

How DMK creates a safe table
As a part of the one-on-one personal meetings we'll go over a list of lines and veils for everyone, which will be posted and updated on the discord as needed. At anytime during or after the session the players can have a private meeting with me over voice or chat to discuss or break down anything they may need. I take personal boundaries very seriously and any player who crosses them intentionally or neglectfully will be removed from the game. In case a player needs it, at anytime they can ask me for a break. I always keep who and why the break was requested private.
