About me

Hello I’m Miles, I've been playing TTRPG for over ten years and have had the pleasure and stress of being a GM for 7 years. I played TTRPG as a child but was reintroduced during covid and the lockdowns as a way to socialise and improve my mental health. I experienced how powerful TTRPG is as a vehicle to make friends, lasting memories and to take control of, as well as manage ones own mental health. As a GM, I aim and hope to achieve a fun, social and friendly place to play, laugh and escape the pressures of the modern world. I am a laid back and friendly person with a good sense of humour who just wants to share his passion and love of the game with others while having a laugh, a good time and creating lasting memories of shared adventures.

Character creation

Creating your character

players can request a Session 0, where I’ll guide you through character creation and offer suggestions for building backstories that connect meaningfully to the world. The campaign uses the D&D 5e (2014 ruleset), with characters built using Point Buy or Standard Array. All sheets will be created and hosted on Roll20, making it easy for me to assist with setup and troubleshooting. If you’re new to virtual tabletops, I’ll walk you through the process step by step. For character options, most official Forgotten Realms resources are available. To give everyone a unique start, characters begin at Level 1 with a feat

What Moo moos Magical "Mis"Adventures brings to the table

What Moo moos Magical "Mis"Adventures brings to the table Hello! I’m Miles, your guide through the strange, the silly, and the occasionally chaotic realms of D&D. I’ve been adventuring in tabletop RPGs for over ten years and DM-Ing for more than seven. I believe the best sessions are the ones where everyone laughs, contributes, and discovers something new — not just about the world, but about themselves. What I bring to the table: · A chill, friendly style — I want sessions to feel like hanging out with friends, not an exam. · A balanced mix of planning + flexibility — I craft a framework, but I love when players surprise me. · A passion for helping new players find their confidence — so no question is ever “dumb,” and mistakes are part of the fun. · Creativity, humour, and a sense of adventure — expect weird towns, odd NPCs.

Homebrew rules

Modified Critical Rolls: When you score a critical hit, one damage die is automatically maximized, while the rest are rolled as normal. Death Saving Throws: These rolls are made privately between you and me, so only we know the outcome until it’s revealed in play.

Safety Tools, Session Zero & Ground Rules Blurb Before we set off on our day off adventure, here are a few friendly guidelines to make sure we all have a great time: Session Zero / Setup · We’ll begin with a quick chat: who your character is, what they might be doing during their “day off,” and any questions you have about rules. · We’ll build characters together, so you never feel stuck or overwhelmed. · You’re welcome to share your playstyle preferences (more roleplay, more action, more humour, etc.). Safety Tools & Comfort · X / Lines & Veils: If there are certain topics or content you’d rather avoid (violence, certain themes, etc.), just say the word and we’ll skip or soften them. · Check-Ins: I’ll occasionally pause to make sure everyone’s comfortable and having fun. · Open Communication: If something feels off or confusing mid-game, you’re encouraged to speak up. No judgment. · Right to Pause or Skip: If any scene or element becomes uncomfortable, we can pause, reframe, or skip ahead
