About the adventure

Mystra’s Arms once loomed over the Sea Ward like a wounded giant—an asylum for minds shattered by the Weave, a place where whispers of broken spells clung to the walls like mold. For decades it endured, until the mid‑1350s DR, when fire swallowed it whole. The blaze burned hot enough to warp stone and silence every scream within. Only a few staggered out alive, and the Order of Mystra’s Monks—those solemn caretakers of the magically afflicted—crumbled in the aftermath, vanishing like ash on the wind. Since then, the ruin has stood untouched. Even the boldest scavengers refused to cross its threshold. They said the place was cursed. They said the dead still muttered in the halls. They said the Weave itself recoiled from the charred bones of the asylum. But something has changed. In recent nights, pale lights flicker behind grime‑choked windows. Strange silhouettes drift through the corridors. And from deep within the blackened husk come sounds no living throat should make—ragged cries of torment, despair, and something older, hungrier. Now, a mismatched band of adventurers and thrill‑seekers is all that stands between Waterdeep and whatever stirs in the asylum’s rotting heart. The secrets buried in Mystra’s Arms have awakened, and the darkness rising there will not remain confined for long.

About me

As an organized and detail-oriented Game Master, I bring rich plot lines and immersive story elements to every campaign. I specialize in weaving player backstories seamlessly into the narrative to create cohesive, unforgettable adventures. With experience spanning decades—from my start with the Red Box Dungeons & Dragons to my deep love for 3.5 edition—I’ve honed my skills and storytelling craft over time. After returning to 5E four years ago, I’ve been hosting weekly online games that keep players engaged and coming back for more. Currently, I run campaigns using the 2024 Dungeons & Dragons rules on the Shard Tabletop Virtual Tabletop (VTT) platform. Let’s roll the dice and make stories come alive!

Safety

How DocApocalypse creates a safe table

We will have a Session 0 on my campaign discord, there won't be anything overtly sexual or over the top graphic gore in the game. We will take a short 10 minute break halfway through the game.
