About the adventure

⚠️ Warning! This is a closed-end story. There will be no HEA, there will be no outcome where humanity recovers. This, our Vampire tragedy, will be the final curtain on all sapient life and unlife. If you join hoping for a hopeful ending, you will be extremely disappointed. In this one-shot story, players assume the role of Elders woken up from their long torpor to a world in sunset. Whether the Kine destroyed themselves or were mismanaged by their Kindred shepherds truly does not matter: humanity is on its way out, and the Kindred will quickly follow. When you are a monster carved out of Hunger, what will you sacrifice in order to feed the Beast?

About me

Hoi! 👋 I'm a multi-setting Player and Gamemaster with a great love of co-building dramatic arcs with the tables gracious enough to have me. Ever since I first began roleplaying in online forums as a kid, which naturally progressed into tabletop play, I have enjoyed roleplay as a way to not just tell meaningful stories with other players, but to also relate to the people around me. Get in, babes! We're roleplaying for social cohesion here! 🌈💖

Character creation

Creating your character

This is a story of Elders. Given the complexity and power of vampiric Elders, players will have a collection of premade Kindred from which to choose. Each table will have four (4) seats: • one (1) from the Camarilla • one (1) from the Anarchs • one (1) from the Sabbat • and one (1) wildcard, whose allegiance is unclear Players will have the opportunity to step into the skin of a doomed Kindred Elder with their own history, motivations, secrets, and regrets.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

As part of the game's prep materials, every player will receive a link to a private Discord server dedicated to my games: we'll use voice chat for gameplay and text chat for chatter while "in the wings." To join the server, however, each player will need access to a Discord account. Please be ready by preparing that ahead of time. We will not use a VTT for this game, but rather will leverage a Discord App/dice bot for our rolls when it comes to that.

What Maggie Mae brings to the table

As the Storyteller, I provide a safe, sane, and consensual experience of vampiric horror to my players. Players who join can expect a game about deeply relevant human tragedy told through a monstrous lens. Expect a close, emotionally intimate story where each Kindred's struggle or acceptance of the end times is observed, respected, and mourned.

Safety

How Maggie Mae creates a safe table

⚠️ Given the subject matter of this game (the Elder literally consuming their Childer) and its relevance to current events, this can be too close or intense for some gamers. If you believe taking part in telling this story could harm you, remember that your safety is paramount. You are allowed at any moment to publicly or privately let me and/or the table know that you are getting up from the table, with or without explaining why. I will keep things rolling or call a break depending on your input. If you ever become uncomfortable for any reason, pulling an X or N card is not only allowed, it is highly encouraged! You do not need to explain why, but if you are willing to, I would be more than happy to hear how I could have better curated your experience during post-game debrief. I will also give players the opportunity for a group comedown through guided meditation before "rejoining the real world."
