About the adventure
Grab your pickaxe and your ale — it’s time to dig deep! Welcome to Barak-Duraz, the mountain city carved from living stone, where dwarves sweat, laugh, fight, and die for the glory of their halls. In this game, all PCs are dwarves — tied to proud clans, new subraces, and unique traditions. You’ll explore ancient tunnels, uncover mysteries beneath the mountain, and get your hands dirty in the mines… all while the mountain remembers every step you take. Expect a balance of fun dwarven banter and serious adventure. Each session includes at least one combat, but there’s also plenty of mystery, roleplay, and cultural depth. Your choices shape your reputation among the clans, the fate of the mountain, and the secrets that have been buried for generations. This is a friendly space for new and experienced players alike. Violence is fantasy-style, mostly combat and monster encounters, with dark moral choices—but nothing graphic, no torture, and nothing that will leave you traumatized. Just dwarves, stone, and the occasional explosion of ale… or giant. Whether you’re digging, drinking, or defending your hall from ancient threats, the mountain calls — will you answer?

Meet the Game Master
About me
I've been a Game Master since 2018, exploring a wide range of systems including Warhammer Fantasy, 40k, and Star Wars 5. My passion for tabletop gaming has taken me across the globe—I’ve run games at Spiel in Germany (2021), joined Dragon Legion’s DM bootcamp in Iceland (2019), and was a featured DM at AthensCon in Greece (2024). Beyond running games, I’ve taught aspiring DMs how to find their voice, embrace improvisation, and build sessions that deliver both fun and meaning. I’ve also performed in live TTRPG shows with improvisational and themed storytelling. I run both published adventures and original campaigns set in my homebrew worlds—most notably an underwater fantasy setting. Over the last few years, I’ve specialized in short campaigns (5–10 sessions), similar in style to Dimension 20.e

How Xristos Smeros creates a safe table
I prioritize a safe and comfortable table. In Session 0, we discuss tone, boundaries, and expectations, and I provide a Lines & Veils document for players to review and adjust at any time. During sessions: X / N / O tools are available digitally or via private message, so you can signal discomfort discreetly. Any boundaries or concerns are respected immediately. Content is adjusted on the fly to ensure everyone feels safe.
