About the adventure

We will start with a quickstart adventure published by Darrington press. From there we will move into a more freeform campaign. What will happen next? Only time will tell! We do have an eight year old that plays with us so must be fine with being kid friendly! Join Brynn, your GM, and play a brand new campaign unlike anything anyone has seen before! Craft a new world together as a party and fight the dangers that seek to destroy it. Every encounter, puzzle, and revelation feels personal and engaging, making this story as fun and exciting as possible. Expect a mix of intense combat, intricate roleplay, and plenty of opportunities to explore your characters and their place in this unfolding tale. Get ready for a journey like no other and as we embark on this campaign, know that your creativity, teamwork, and resilience will be tested. So gather your strength, trust in your allies, and prepare to face the Witherwild!

About me

Welcome one and all, to my profile! I think I'm a pretty fantastic person to be around and the world's okayest DM. But seriously. I am a professional Dungeon Master! I run a different D&D game almost every night of the week and I am in need of players! The following information goes for ALL of my games! Requirements/playstyle: ❤️New players are welcome! ❤️Your Backstory Matters! Did your character wake up with amnesia? Is someone after you? Did your clan exile you to wander the realm until you restore your name? All of it matters! I tie in your backstory, derail the campaign for backstory related side quests, and make sure that you really feel like this is a world you belong to, not one you've just been dropped into. This is a roleplay heavy game and I am always seeking serious, creative players who appreciate a good story on top of the thrill of kicking the door in and killing on sight! Other/more info: 💸 These are a PAID GAME: I am a full time DM and use the money from my games to fund my bills, my many subscriptions for VTT's, map making, and the occasional pizza delivery. ♿️I am Disabled and all of my games are Disability/Neurodivergent friendly! I am always willing to provide any kind of accommodations as long as I am able! 🏳️‍🌈I am here, I am queer, and all of my games are LGBTQIA+ Friendly!

Character creation

Creating your character

We will be using Demiplane to create characters. I will walk you through linking Demiplane with your Roll20 account!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Apply to play the game at: https://forms.gle/qkiZ3JjYPc6XtS7R6 You will need a microphone above all else. I DO accommodate anyone who has alternative communication needs. (We have literally had a player who communicated through gifs. I can accommodate just about anything!) Having a quiet place to play is preferred. You can absolutely use discord on your phone but in that case, headphones are preferred. Make sure you have accounts on Discord, Roll20, and Demiplane. All other prep will be in your session 0. As we continue to play, it WILL be a good idea to read YOUR character abilities and features! I will do my best to remind you but it is better if YOU remember the abilities you have.

What Brynn brings to the table

I use Roll20, Demiplane, Discord, and the Spoticord bot for music! I make my own art and use others for maps, tokens, spell effects and more! There are rare occasions where I do recorded sessions on Zoom for advertising purposes. You will be notified in advance of these sessions! I will teach you how to use any of these tools outside of the game! MORE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT! -RULE OF COOL: If you say you want to do a double somersault and land on the villain's shoulders you absolutely can roll for that! If your roll is good, you did it! Why? Cause it's hecking cool! If you fail, though...well you're gonna look silly but it's still gonna be funny af! -CHARISMA IS HARD: If you're not exactly the most charismatic person, your character shouldn't be punished for that! If you can make it sound good, I'm gonna give you advantage! If you're not sure what to say, just let me know what effect you are looking for and we'll roll anyway! Never feel like you have to be a perfect talker to play a charismatic character!

Homebrew rules

We currently do not have any strict homebrew rules. We may come up with some as we play! (Technically all of Daggerheart is one big homebrew!)

Safety

How Brynn creates a safe table

At my table, the most important rule is that everyone feels comfortable, safe, and respected while playing. We use a variety of safety tools to ensure that the game remains fun and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of their experience level. Whether you’re stepping into your first campaign or returning for more, we take player care seriously—both during and after the session. Session 0 is our starting point. This is where we’ll discuss character creation, personal boundaries, and expectations. It’s a time to establish comfort levels, clarify game themes, and make sure everyone is on the same page before we dive into the adventure. During the game, we use tools like the Monte Cook RPG Checklist to understand player preferences for content and tone, as well as X-N-O Cards to manage consent in real time. The X card lets players skip or change a scene that’s making them uncomfortable, the N card asks to proceed with caution, and the O card means all is well. These ensure everyone can speak up without disrupting the flow of the game. The Open Door Policy means you can leave the game or take a break at any time, for any reason—no questions asked. We also encourage regular Breaks during sessions to keep things comfortable and allow time for snacks, rest, or any necessary resets. We also acknowledge that sometimes game events can hit a little too close to home. That’s why we include Debriefing after sessions, where we can talk through any lingering feelings or “Bleed” (when emotions from the game spill over into real life). These conversations allow us to check in on one another and wrap things up in a positive way. I also think it’s important to note my rules of engagement! I have a lot of house rules but these few have a lot to do with how people behave in the game which is just an assurance that I take player behavior very seriously. THE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT -EVERYTHING is in character unless you *specify* that it is not. For instance, if you say, "Damn the queen's a bitch." in the middle of court. I will assume you said in character, out loud. Make sure you say, 'out of character' or 'my character's thinking'. I'm pretty forgiving with this rule. It's just something to be mindful of. -ASK FELLOW PLAYERS out of character before doing anything against their character. Stealing is pretty taboo unless you have worked it out with the player and the DM. If you wish to engage in the romantic pursuit of another player's character, check with them first. Unrequited love is totally valid as long as both parties are on board. If you wish to attack a fellow player character, for any reason, pause roleplay and say out of character why you wish to do this. It can be as simple as asking "Okay, can i smack your character for that comment?" or as complex a discussion as "I'm pretty sure this character has turned against us in some way and I'm about to attack."
