About the adventure

Life in the Dales is toilsome. Far from the southern conveniences, all you wear, wield, eat, or drink must be made by the skilled hands of another, or perhaps your own! Yet, life in the Dales is also calm. The sun and moon dance lazily in the sky, and the winds seldom carry a coldness greater than your coats can abate. Rains abound, and harvests feed you well. Those you rely on are your neighbors, your friends, your family, or perhaps even someone who has won your heart. Life is simple, for now. For danger lurks in the darkest woods, and in mead-halls of distant dales, in equal measure. Only by your hand and will can your home be made safe. Romance and Rustic Fantasy Meet in this Legend in the Mist campaign; the focus lies on romance. Be it the relationships you form with those who have won your heart, or the romance of living your best cottagecore dreams in the vast countryside, filled with mystery and whimsy. What Can you Expect in this Campaign? ~ Narrative-Focused Gameplay - Legend in the Mist focuses on the narrative first above all else. This story-first approach, letting the characters grow through their choices, successes, and failures, gives us a game that is simple to grasp and enriching to those who would like to focus on the story above all else. ~ Cooperative Storytelling - Together we create your Dale, choose what matters most to its people, and your characters. Here, your choices, what you bring to the table, shape the world in a real and tangible way. Not just for you, but for the table as a whole. My Inspirations Here are the most notable inspirations I had when creating this campaign: - Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (Film/ Studio Ghibli) - Princess Mononoke (Film/ Studio Ghibli) - The Sheepfarmer's Daughter (Book / Elizabeth Moon) - The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea (Book / Axie Oh) - Legend (1985 Film/ Ridley Scott) - Labyrinth (1986 Film / Jim Henson) - The Banner Saga Series (Videogames / Stoic Studios) - Kingdom Come Deliverance Series (Videogames / Warhorse Studios)

About me

With 15 years of experience as a game master, I have guided countless adventurers through the twists and turns of many fantastic stories. My journey began with Pathfinder 1st Edition, and over the years, I expanded my horizons to include Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, OSR games, and narrative-driven systems. Nowadays, I focus primarily on Pathfinder 2nd Edition, where I specialize in crafting immersive narratives that make players feel like an integral part of the story. I believe in the power of collaboration, weaving my player's ideas into the game to create a truly unique and engaging experience for everyone at the table.

Creating your character

~ Working Together ~ ~ Once the campaign launches and session 0 is scheduled, we'll use the opportunity to create your characters together as a team, so you can best assist one another flesh out your concepts. ~ Choosing a Themebook and working from it for your themes is preferred, with an opening to work from tropes of sheer creativity for those wishing to grab the bull by the horns! ~ Characters' starting themes will be limited to Origin and Variable Themes, one of which must be a Devotion, to emphasize the romance of it all!

Safety

How Nando creates a safe table

~ Session 0. This session will be used to establish boundaries, review the content warnings for the game, and foster a cohesive understanding of what should and should not be included. Once these are set, we'll proceed with the shared creation of the characters, key aspects of the setting. ~ X-Cards. These are integrated into the tabletop, allowing players to discreetly inform the GM only if they need to distance themselves from a topic in the scene. ~ Aftercare. I'll conduct individual check-ins with players to help them overcome game-related issues as they arise, and encourage others to take care of their party members as well. ~ Breaks. Short breaks will be added to all sessions, allowing participants time to rest and refresh before continuing their adventure. ~ Open Door Policy. With buttons integrated into the tabletop, players can discreetly excuse themselves for as long as they need to care for themselves.
