About the adventure

"When the mysterious lighthouse called Gauntlight glows with baleful light, the people of Otari suspect that it’s an ominous prelude to sinister events. Heroes must explore the ruins around the lighthouse and delve into the dungeon levels below. Hideous monsters, deadly traps, and vengeful ghosts all await the heroes who dare to enter the sprawling megadungeon called the Abomination Vaults!" - The Abomination Vaults Player's Guide This campaign is for the fearless, the dedicated, and the vigilant. I welcome beginners, but be warned that in terms of difficulty, I won't pull any punches; nor will I give the baddies any special concessions. Your ingenuity is key to vanquishing the foes you find wandering or lying in wait.

About me

Greetings. I'm Mete0r, I'm 25, and I'm an avid roleplaying games player and host. I've been GMing homebrew settings and campaigns for my friends for over 7 years. I figured I should bring my skills to bear here as well. My persona is a mutant dragon (read: my dorky fursona) and I am rather open about the fact I'm a scalie. With that said, my games often involve or promote the participation of anthropomorphic or monstrous characters... because they're just cool. I started with D&D 5e, and have no qualms with running it again for a group in need... but I must admit, I prefer PF2e for most of my tabletop gaming. I run on the Forge, and JUST the Forge, please. Love that VTT too much to deal with the headache of roll20.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players should familiarize themselves with the Foundry Virtual Tabletop, and have a ForgeVTT account (which I should mention is free and there are no ads on the site) in order to access the Foundry server.

What Mete0r brings to the table

I provide an immersive VTT experience with ambient visual effects, attack and spell animations, changing weather, and a keen attention to in-game time that shifts the nature of the encounters ahead.

Homebrew rules

"You gain..." I run by XP, awarding it for discovering treasure, solving puzzles, disarming traps, and defeating/successfully negotiation with monsters. "Who can tell me what happened last session?" I provide a Hero Point to any player who can recap the last session. Players will take turns out of fairness, so no one player will hog the recap role... unless, of course, everyone wants one player to recap in particular. I'm not picky. "Did you play to your motto?" At character creation, I require every player to put in the Catchphrase section of their character sheet, instead of an actual catchphrase, a motto; a simple, single sentence that symbolizes their core beliefs and attitude. At the end of every session, I go around the table asking the players if they think they played to their character's motto. If we have a consensus that they did, they receive bonus XP.
